This area is best known for it's superb blue Lazulites, but many other unusual and interesting minerals are found there too, including Apatite. Though white Apatite crystals are not uncommon (often associated with Lazulite), purple Apatite is rarely seen.

The crystals are translucent with areas of transparency. this could easily be trimmed into a toenail with all the crystals oriented with the terminations facing upward.

This specimen has numerous larger crystals dispersed across a matrix covered by smaller crystals. The larger crystals reach 7mm in size and are sharp and highly translucent, even transparent in areas. Specimens of this quality are no longer being found and are now hard to come by.
