SV464 - 'Gitter' Quartz $ 2000 SOLD Erongo Mountains, Namibia cabinet - 12 x 8 x 5.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large cluster of cris-crossing smokey Quartz crystals known as 'Gitter Quartz' (a German name for fence or lattice Quartz). The Quartz crystals form epitaxially on Feldspar in a lattice of doubly-terminated crystals. The Erongo Mountains is the only locality I'm aware of that produces this style of unusual Quartz specimens. This is an excellent large example from the Charlie Key collection. Hard to find in this size and quality.

Londonite is the cesium-dominant analogue of Rhodizite. The Londonite is sharp and lustrous and translucent with small areas of transparency. Ex. The specimen has the classic form and color for the mine. There are two missing crystals in the lower center area, otherwise in pristine condition all around. Comes with an old Gene Schlepp label.
