This is an uncommon form of Tsavorite (Grossular) that are not often seen on matrix. There is a Diopside crystal and small Pyrite crystals in association. Great thumbnail from the Merelani Tanzanite mines.

SV311 - Dioptase, Duftite on Calcite $ 2500 SOLD Tsumeb, Namibia cabinet - 10 x 8 x 5.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Outstanding Dioptase crystals on white Calcite crystals from Tsumeb. A shallow vug of large (to 1.2cm) white Calcite crystals with sacttered, fairly isolated Dioptase. The Dioptase crystals have both good trnasparency and high luster. Some lighter gree Duftite adds even more color. There are some incomplete Dioptase along the outer edge, but the crystals in the vug are pristine. Ex. Dr. Abraham Feinberg collection.
