ST198 - Kolwezite on Cobaltian Calcite $ 750 (=~ € 616) SOLD Kolwezi Mining District, Lualaba, DR Congo large cabinet - 15.5 x 9 x 5.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dark olive green botryoidal Kolwezite atop rhombs of vivid pink Cobaltoan Calcite (or possibly Cobaltoan Dolomite) creating a stunning mixture of colors and forms. The large central crystal group is partially etched and reveals alternating layers of varying intensities of pink coloration. Kolwezite is a Copper Cobalt Carbonate Hydroxide and this is the type locality for the species. A beautiful large display piece and combination specimen of two desireable species together.
C625 - Cuprite on Copper $ 280 (=~ € 230) Mashamba West Mine, Katanga, Congo (DRC) cabinet - 10.5 x 6 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large arborescent group of Copper crystals coated by Cuprite. The Cuprite covers most of the surface of the Copper and is crystallized in areas. There is also black Heterogenite and green Malachite present in areas. Large and colorful Copper specimen found in 2018.

The Azurite crystals have great luster and the largest is approximately 2cm tall. Good crystals of Azurite are rare for this locality!

The Malachite coats the left side with the right side all Cobaltian Calcite. The area of Cobaltian Calcite includes larger more deeply colored crystals atop a druse of smaller crystals. A very colorful specimen.

ST204 - Malachite on Cobaltian Calcite $ 1500 (=~ € 1232) Kolwezi Mining District, Lualaba, DR Congo large cabinet - 20 x 13 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large specimen of vivid pink Cobaltoan Calcite (or possibly Cobaltoan Dolomite) that displays well on both sides. The front side has large crystals to 3cm in size and a very deep pink, almost purple coloration. The backside has areas of green Malachite and black Heterogenite. A beautiful large display piece that will add lots of color to a case of minerals.

C675 - Cuprite on Chrysocolla $ 1200 (=~ € 985) SOLD Mashamba West Mine, Katanga, Congo cabinet - 12 x 8 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cuprite crystals to 1.3cm on an uncommonly wide, flat Chrysocolla covered matrix. These came out years ago and are among my favorite Cuprite specimens as the Chrysocolla really sets off the Cuprite crystals. Crystals are undamaged with many more crystals present that are completely covered by the Chrysocolla. Areas of fibrous Malachite crystals enhance the look. Undamaged.
