Superb glassy partly transparent and gemmy blue barite crystal, 9.5cm tall and 1.6cm thick, attached to a second large Barite crystals on Hematite matrix. The Barite crystals have some red colouration due to hematite staining. This is an old English classic likely mined in the 1800s. There are a couple very minimal edge chips, otherwise undamaged and complete. The large crystal appears to have been reattached. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection #0293.

Blue Barite crystals on yellow Calcite (the Barite are a little more sky blue than the photos indicate). The Barite occur in a mixture os sizes from long 6cm crystals to small transparent tabular crystals. Aesthetic and undamaged. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.

Highly glassy, lustrous blue Barite crystals on matrix. The Barite crystals reach 3cm in size and are in great condition with a few missing crystals. The crystals wrap around to the backside too. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection #0314.

A paper-thin, flat sliver of matrix upon which grew hundreds of Wulfenite crsytals sticking out on all sides. Small Calcite crystals later grew upon the Wulfenite. The overall effect is a somewhat curved cylindrical shaped specimen. There are some broken crystals but the vast majority are perfect with good crystals all over. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.

Exceptionally tall (to 1cm!) crystals of pink Hureaulite on a matrix covered by equally exception black Barbosalite crystals. Uncommonly large display specimen of the rare phosphate minerals. This specimen was Carlos Barbosa's personal collection piece. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.

Cluster of thin, tabular Wulfenite crystals with attached green Duftite and white Dolomite crystals. The Wulfenite are a pale whitish yellow color and reach 2.8cm on edge. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection #0959.

V-twin crystals of Cerussite in a row along the top of a narrow piece of matrix colored yellow by Pyromorphite. The Cerussite crystals reach 3.5cm in size and are coated by Anglesite. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.

A relatively large 1cm Liroconite crystal in a Liroconite lined vug. The color is outstanding with an intense teal blue and good luster. There is a little contact on the large crystal from opposing wall rock. There are lots more Liroconite crystals too in various areas of the specimen. Liroconite is a rare copper species with the best specimens found at this mine, which is also the type locality for the species. Wheal Gorland began operation in 1792 and the best Liroconite specimens were found in the mid 1800s.
