Bob Reynolds was a curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino Co. museum. He was an avid field collector, led mineral symposiums, performed geologic studies and mapping of the Mohave desert, and even had a mineral named after him (Reynoldsite). The Tourmaline crystal has a repair but the specimen is in otherwise great condition. The Quartz are both very transparent. Found November 2, 1983 in the Colored Zone of the J27 Jensen Pegmatite. Ex. It is named for the botryoidal, green (lime-green, in some cases) mica---assumed to be muscovite---that occurs there.
