C551 - Ferberite with Quartz $ 325 Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 8 x 7 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well formed large Ferberite crystals associated wtih transparent Quartz crystals. There are also small purple Fluorite crystals, Muscovite, and Arsenopyrite present.
B802 - Helvite with Calcite $ 450 SOLD Huangangliang, Inner Mongolia, China small cabinet - 6 x 3.3 x 2.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Fine quality cluster of Helvite with attached translucent white Calcite crystals. Nearly undamaged but with a tips missing at the very ends of a few Helvite crystals, really only noticable when magnified. Nice composition to the specimen and very showy.

A German classic that is hard to find, especially as compared to more common Moroccan specimens. It is a large crystal for the locality which more commonly produced 1cm size range crystals.

This mine mostly produced Schorl, but dark blue Indicolite is also known. The Indocolite is present both an and inside the Quartz. The blue coloration can be best seen in the smaller crystals, some of which are transparent.

T254 - Rhodochrosite $ 1200 SOLD Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada small cabinet - 6.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thick rhombs of red Rhodochrosite with attached Leifite (white) and aegerine (black). This is from an August 8, 2015 find that produced a small number of crystals tht are unusually thick for Mont St. Hilaire. We are more accustomed to seeing small wafer-like, twin Rhodo crystals from here, rather than these large, thick crystals. Main crystal is 4cm wide. Undamaged (stepped growth on some corners) with some etched areas, mostly on the backside. Floater specimen with no points of attachment.
