LL314 - Legrandite $ 2500 (=~ € 2284) SOLD Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico small cabinet - 8.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large open vug in Limonite loaded with Legrandite crystals and occassional cream colored Smithsonite crystals. The crystals are undamaged and occur as singles, clusters, and 'starburst' formations. Rare to find such a large area covered with so many great Legrandite crystals.
LL315 - Brazilianite $ 3500 (=~ € 3198) Telerio Mine, Mendes Pimental, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 5 x 4.3 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, complete single Brazilianite crystal. This is a specimen I've owned for about 25 years, purchased long ago from dealer Steve Perry. Steve used to make regular trips to Brazil and was there when this mine was actively producing Brazilianite. This was the biggest, best crystal he found in his trips. There is very minor edge chatter but it's essentially undamaged with good luster, areas of transparency, and the yellow/green color these are known for. Comes with a custom Lucite base.
LL306 - Schorl on Spessartine $ 250 (=~ € 228) SOLD Sly Rick prospect (Green Centipede claim), Little Cahuilla Mountain, Riverside Co., California, USA miniature - 3.5 x 2.2 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A 3cm dark red Spessartine crystal with a small Schorl attached to the left side. Two smaller garnets adorn the Schorl. Contacted on the backside. Rare locality piece and a quality specimen. Comes with an old Rincon Mineral Co. label.
LL300 - Spessartine on Feldspar $ 250 (=~ € 228) SOLD Anza, Riverside Co., California, USA miniature - 5 x 5 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Complete 2.3cm Spessartine crystal in Feldspar with a nicely terminated Feldspar crystal. There is another smaller Garnet intergrown with another terminated Feldspar crystal on the backside. The old label only gives 'Anza' as the locality.
LL309 - Rhodochrosite after Bivalve $ 200 (=~ € 183) SOLD Kertch, Crimea, Ukraine small cabinet - 8 x 6.5 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A fossil bivalve shell that has been completely replaced by translucent pink Rhodochrosite. The shell is wonderfully preserved with both sides present and visible. One end has been cut to reveal the inside. The old iron mine where these were found is long closed and these are no longer being found.
LL312 - Hemimorphite $ 600 (=~ € 548) Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico cabinet - 11.5 x 8 x 5.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large open vug with white Hemimorphite crystals. The main cluster is an incredible 4.5cm wide fan-shaped formation. An unusual and distinct example of a fairly common mineral. If you've wanted a good Mexican Hemimorphite but think they all look the same, this one is for you.
LL342 - Fluorite on Muscovite $ 9500 (=~ € 8679) Chumar Bakhoor, Nagar District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan cabinet - 12 x 9.5 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large 6cm octahedral pink Fluorite on Muscovite. A superb example from a locality that came to fame for it's Aquamarine, but more recently has produced fine pink Fluorite specimens. The main crystal is highly transparent and there are additional small Fluorites in the Muscovite and a white Feldspar crystal.

LL310 - Garnet $ 200 (=~ € 183) SOLD Ely, White Pine Co., Nevada, USA thumbnail - 3 x 2.7 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Red garnets in Quartz. Main crystal is elongated and 1.6cm in length. Note that this is not from Garnet Hill locality where prolific amounts of Almandine occur in a pink Rhyolite matrix. From an old collection, the locality was only given as Ely.

The Schorl have glassy luster and all but one have perfect triangular pyramidal terminations.
