The El Teniente mine (meaning "The Lieutenant") is reportedly the world's biggest underground copper mine than began operations in 1819, located in the Andes mountains at an elevation of 7,500 above sea level. This mine is also known for its very large gypsum crystals, measuring up to l0 feet long. An interesting locality piece that comes with an old Lidstrom's label. Out of an old collection form the 1980s.
