Undamaged floater specimen crystallized on all sides. The Sphalerite have good color, especially when backlit.

SM448 - Arsenopyrite 'spaceship' with Chalcopyrite and Cassiterite $ 300 SOLD Panasquiera, Portugal small cabinet - 5.5 x 3 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Undamaged floater specimen of Arsenopyrite, well crystallized all around. There are all sorts of stepped, metallic surfaces that flash colors of silver and gold, with areas that flare out causing the whole (to me) to resemble a spaceship. Right where the cockpit would be sits a perfect Chacopyrite crystal upon which sits a small black Cassiterite crystal. Fine and unusual specimen.
SM449 - Rhodochrosite with Fluorite $ 220 Sunnyside Mine, Silverton, Colorado, USA small cabinet - 5.9 x 4 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rhombic Rhodochrosite crystals to 1.5cm on a Quartz crystal covered matrix. In addition to the Rhodochrosite, there are a number of glassy, pale green Fluorite crystals to 1.5cm.
SM450 - Hemimorphite $ 150 SOLD Summit Mine, Broadwater Co., Montana, USA small cabinet - 7 x 6.5 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large open vug in matrix lined with Hemimorphite crystals to about 1cm in length. The Summit Mine produced what are likely the best USA Hemimorphites ever found. This is a fine example.
SM458 - Silver $ 150 SOLD Kongsberg, Buskerud, Norway (?) thumbnail - 2 x 1 x 0.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Thick Silver wire with nice curves. This came out of an old collection of thubmnails with no label. I was told that 'there were some Kongsberg Silvers in the collection'.
SM459 - Veszelyite $ 450 SOLD Laochang Mine, Gejiu Co., Yunnan Province, China cabinet - 10.5 x 8.0 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sharp crystals of Veszelyite to 4mm on Hemimorphite lined vugs in matrix. There are vugs of crystals all over. Very rich sample. Veszelyite is a rare phosphate mineral only found in a few places worldwide as collectable mineral specimens. These specimens have only been found in the past few years and are one of the more interesting mineral surprises from China.

SM469 - Calcite with Ilvaite $ 150 Nikolaevskiy Mine, Dal'negorsk, Russia small cabinet - 5.5 x 5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Interesting specimen showing 3 generations of Calcite. The top half of a scalenohedral Calcite sticks out of a wide rhombic Calcite crystal. Both were later covered by tiny black Ilvaite crystals, then all were overgrown by a final generation of transparent Calcite. You can see the tip of the scalenohedral Calcite covered by Ilvaite underneath the final transparent layer of Calcite.

SM480 - Pyrite $ 320 SOLD Navajun, La Rioja, Spain small cabinet - 5.4 x 5.4 x 5.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large single Pyrite cube from this famous Pyrite locality. This is uncommonly big, and was significant enough to held in a collection for years. There is one defect where the old collection label is still affixed, otherwise perfect all around.
