TS134 - Azurite $ 2475 (=~ AUS$ 3774) SOLD Easter Pocket, Level 8, Tsumeb Mine, Namibia miniature - 4.2 x 3.7 x 2.3 cm ex. Georg Gebhard ![]() ![]() ![]() Cluster of tabular Azurite crystals from the famous Easter Pocket of Tsumeb. This was formerly in the Georg Gebhard collection, released approximately 5-6 years ago. I was fortunate to be able to select from the approximately 15-20 Easter Pocket Azurites available at that time, and this was my favorite cluster. Largest crystal reaches 2.1 cm wide, and all crystals are lustrous and with the tabular habit and translucency that are characteristic for the pocket. The pocket was found in 1994 and is well documented in Gebhard's book on Tsumeb. A few incomplete crystals along the edges, otherwise undamaged.
TS135 - Rosasite after Malachite after Azurite $ 325 (=~ AUS$ 496) SOLD Tsumeb Mine, Namibia thumbnail - 2.6 x 2.4 x 2.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Exceptionally sharp crystal of a double pseudomorph of Malachite after Azurite that was later replaced by Rosasite. Crystal is is 2.2cm tall. These are uncommon and highly sought after crystals, this one being unusually well formed with sharp, crisp edges.
