The specimen is comprised entirely of solid Dioptase, having formed within Chrysocolla which is now gone, leaving a very 3-dimensional specimen, different than the typical Dioptase specimen.

AF531 - Carrollite $ 400 (=~ € 365) Kamoya South Mine, Kambove, Katanga, Congo thumbnail - 2.8 x 1.9 x 1.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Superb thumbnail specimen composed of mirror lustrous Carrollite crystals atop a thin rhombic Calcite crystal. Crystals are octahedral in shape with the largest crystal 1.5 cm wide.
AF532 - Dioptase $ 450 (=~ € 411) SOLD Tantara Mine, Shinkolobwe, Katanga, Congo cabinet - 10 x 5 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large Dioptase specimen with some of the crystals coated with a grey secondary mineral. Other than the grey mineral, this is a heavy specimen of nothing but solid Dioptase, the most Dioptase in one specimen I've ever held in my hand. Additionally, the crystals are big reaching 1.8cm in length, and the specimen is nearly a complete floater with just on area of contact on the backside. An oblong egg shaped piece with a central crystal lined cavity.

This is a floater with the backside having a satiny, irregular surface but covered by small crystal faces.

It's hard to capture the great color and luster of these specimens, but I assure you this is better in person than the photos portray. The brown matirx is unusual and provides great contrast for the emerald green Dioptase crystals. Valued at $350.
