A140 - Kunzite SOLD Skardu District, Pakistan miniature - 4.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Unusual, highly etched specimen of transparent Kunzite. It was hard to be sure what this was when I bought it so I had it anazlyzed and it's confirmed as Kunzite. Looks like melting ice.
A141 - Spinel $ 50 (=~ ¥ 7419) SOLD Mogok, Myanmar thumbnail - 0.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Three purple/red Spinel crystals, all of them gemmy and deeply colored.
A142 - Bysolite in Quartz SOLD Skardu District, Pakistan small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() Single clear Quartz crystal with long inclusions of Bysolite giving neat effect and grey/green cloudiness in areas. The white streaks you see are not reflections on the crystal surface, they are from the internal inclusions. Better green in person too. Well terminated with glassy luster. Unusual piece for a collector of Quartz or unusual inclusions.
AF262 - Anglesite $ 280 (=~ ¥ 41545) SOLD Touissit Mine, Morocco thumbnail - 2.8 x 2.4 x 2.1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Unusual Anglesite specimen I bought in Tucson about 10 years ago. The Anglesite has grown on an opaque, black bladed crystal of an unidentified mineral and when viewed from the top, exhibits an octagon form with a black strip through the middle.
AF263 - Spessartine $ 300 (=~ ¥ 44513) SOLD Nani, Loliondo, Arusha Region, Tanzania miniature - 3.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() 1cm Spessartine crystal in mica matrix. I bought this a couple years ago when the find was first made. It was very striking because the exceptional bright citrus orange color, however I set it aside because there is a small gap (less than 1mm) between the crystal and the matrix in one area which makes me suspect the crystal may have fallen out and was reattached. I just came across this piece again and decided to post it because it just so striking in appearance, the color is so great. There are additional smaller crystals in the mica also.
NA353 - ManganAdamite SOLD Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico cabinet - 9.5 x 7 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Vuggy Limonite matrix filled with flaring crystals of Adamite to 1.4cm long. The Adamite are purple with an outer layer of yellow. The purple color was always uncommon despite the large amounts of Adamite produced from this mine, and remains the most desirable color of Adamite. Good sized specimen too.
NA354 - Silver $ 400 (=~ ¥ 59350) SOLD Cobalt, Ontario, Canada large cabinet - 19 x 9 x 0.8 cm ![]() ![]() Large slab richly veined with Silver. The best such slab out of a large collection I bought 12 years ago.
SA822 - Rhodonite $ 750 (=~ ¥ 111281) SOLD San Martin Mine, Chiurucu, Huanaco, Peru small cabinet - 8 x 4 x 3.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Bladed Rhodonite crystals with excellent rose coloration. Unlike many from this find, the crystals are large (reaching 1.5cm) and separated enough to show their form.
SA824 - Paravauxite on Vauxite $ 100 (=~ ¥ 14838) SOLD Siglo XX Mine, Llallagua, Bolivia small cabinet - 7 x 3.5 x 1.7 cm ![]() ![]() Light green Paravauxite atop blue Vauxite. Good combination specimen of these rare phosphates.
SA825 - Apatite $ 350 (=~ ¥ 51931) SOLD Golconda Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() Floater specimen of Clevelandite Feldspar crystals coated by superb, gemmy purple Apatite crystals to 6mm. The Apatites are glassy and gemmy with great color.
SA827 - Rutile in Quartz sphere $ 200 (=~ ¥ 29675) SOLD Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 5 cm ![]() 5cm diameter sphere of transparent Quartz shot through with hair-like crystals of Rutile. The Rutile is fine and silvery and is amazingly evenly distributed and running in all directions, neither oriented or clustered.
SA828 - Tennantite after Enargite SOLD Julcani District, Peru small cabinet - 7 x 5.5 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() Cluster of Tennantite psuedomorphs after Enargite, main crystal is 4.5cm tall and 3 cm across the termination.
