SV421 - Calcite on Hemimorphite 79 Mine, Hayden, Arizona, USA small cabinet - 6 x 5.5 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large vug lined with a thick layer of blue Hemimorphite upon which grew wavy, lenticular white Calcite crystals. Gorgeous specimen.
SV459 - Copper with Prehnite Osceola Mine, Houghton Co., Michigan, USA cabinet - 9.5 x 8.5 x 7.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Massive Calcite, Prehnite and Copper with a crystallized vug of the same species. There is a large 4cm Copper crystal in the vug as well as a mass of Prehnite that rises up and contains 2 well formed Copper crystals to 2.5cm wide.
MK126 - Almandine Zillertal, Schwaz District, Tyrol, Austria small cabinet - 7.7 x 5.5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Classic Almandine specimen from Zillertal featuring two dark reddish-brown Almandine crystals in a schist matrix. The well-formed dodecahedral crystals reach 3.3cm in size.
MK128 - Almandine Seeber valley, Burggrafenamt, South Tyrol, Italy small cabinet - 7.5 x 5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Classic Italian Almandine specimen from Seeber valley featuring five dark reddish-brown Almandine crystals in a schist matrix. The well-formed dodecahedral crystals reach 4.7cm in size.
MK152 - Microlite with Lepidolite Paprok, Afghanistan cabinet - 9.5 x 6 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Olive-green to brown Microlite crystals on Orthoclase crystals that are coated by Lepidolite. There are 10 octahedral Microlites crystals to 8mm in size present on the specimen. A rare, hard to find specimen.
MK155 - Sphalerite on Fluorite Denton Mine, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA small cabinet - 6.2 x 5 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Purple and yellow Fluorite crystal with attached red Sphalerite crystals from the famous Fluorite region in Hardin Co., Illinois. The Fluorite is rectangular and complete all round with cubic purple Fluorite over a yellow core. Translucent with color zoning.
MK183 - Cerussite (R) Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico miniature - 4 x 1.8 x 1.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Thick, transparent colorless Cerussite crystals, shocking in size and quality for the locality. This is from a recent find and look more like something you would see from Tsumeb than any I've ever seen from the Ojuela Mine. The specimen is composed of a large single crystal with a smaller V-twin attached. Unfortunately while photographing, the small V-twin detached from the main crystal and I had to therefore reattach it (the smaller crystal fits perfectly into an angular groove on the larger crystal like a puzzle piece).
MK194 - Azurite Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 3.9 x 2.5 x 1.2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, complete single Azurite crystal from the Milpillas Mine. This is a floater well crystallized all around. There is some chipping present, but overall it's in good condition. Both sides shown in photos.

Tsavorite Merelani Hills, Lelatema Mountains, Arusha Region, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.9 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Single green Grossular crystal from the Merelani Tanzanite mines. Highly lustrous faces and good transparency. Complete all around with a bit of Graphite and point of contact on the bottom. Perfect except for chipping and very lower edges.
MK205 - Lepidolite on Tourmaline Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 7 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large transparent green Tourmaline crystal partially coated by lavender Lepidolite crystals. The Tourmaline has a steep pyramidal termination and is a deep transparent green, in fact the majority of the crystal is facet quality. Weighs 74.5 grams.

Caledonite is a rare lead copper sulfate carbonate mineral. Highly mineralized, colorful specimen.
LV328 - Amethyst Guateng, Pretoria District, South Africa miniature - 4.7 x 3.2 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lustrous Amethyst Quartz crystals known as 'Cactus Quartz' from South Africa. There are two generations of growth. The first generation has large Amethyst crystals measuring about 1.4cm thick, with a second generation of smaller crystals attached to the prism faces on the larger crystals. Undamaged.

LV389 - Vanadinite on Calcite Apex mine, San Carlos, Chihuahua, Mexico cabinet - 9.5 x 9 x 6.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thick layer of intergrown Calcite crystals with Vanadinite from the Apex Mine. The Vanadinite form barrel-spahed hexagonal crystals to 1.3cm in size and occur on and within the Calcite. This is a large, quality example for the locality with good-sized Vanadinite.
MK502 - Mimetite with Malachite Tsumeb, Namibia cabinet - 12 x 9 x 5.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large rock matrix covered by tiny clear Calcite crystals which are in turn sprinkled with small green Malachite spheres and starburst clusters of yellow Mimetite. Good coverage on both sides.
