T674 - Tourmaline Cruziero Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 9 x 7 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Massive single, well terminated green Tourmaline crystal with highly fibrous, hair-like structure in areas. Broad, flat termination slopes gently back towards the side wtihteh hair-like growth. Can be displayed from one side as a typical (but huge) Tourmaline, or from the other side showing the hair-like fibrous structures.
T742 - Rhodochrosite after Calcite Madem-Lakko Mine, Chalkidiki Prefecture, Macedonia Department, Greece cabinet - 12 x 9 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Pink rhodochrosite with the dominant crystal 6cm wide and perfectly centered atop the specimen. The Rhodochrosite formed as a replacement after Calcite. The specimen has areas of coverage by drusy Quartz and has associated Pyrite.
T827 - Shattuckite over Dioptase over Calcite Tantara Mine, Katanga, Dem. Republic of Congo cabinet - 9.5 x 6.5 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large open vug of blue Shattuckite over Dioptase. The Dioptase formerly covered larger Calcite crystals, which are now gone, only the tips of one or two crystals can be seen on the backside now, however their form is clearly evident from the inside of the vug. The specimen is almost entirely Dioptase and Shattuckite. An unusual feature of this specimen is the light, pearly luster on the surface of the Shattuckite, which is more typically a darker, matte luster. Rare and unusual.

This is true skeletal Galena (not the manufactured specimens from about 10 years ago), only the second time in 20 years that they have been found. With Quartz crystals and Sphalerite. Undamaged.
C446 - Brochantite Morocco small cabinet - 8.5 x 6 x 3 cm ex. Bruce Murphy ![]() ![]() ![]() Old specimen from the Bruce Murphy collection composed of nothing but Brochantite crystals. This was a rare specimen when Bruce acquired it, and I've not seen much Brochantite specimens from Morocco since. Bright emerald green crystals everywhere. This is likely from the Bou Bekker Mine.

This is an old specimen from a collection from the 1960s and 70s. It occurs with Chlorite and appears to have been partially etched from carbonate rock. It rates as a significant California Spinel. Undamaged.
SM153 - Chrome Tourmaline Landani, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.4 x 2.4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Complete single 'Chrome Tourmaline', which is vanadium and chromium rich Dravite found in east Africa. Fine undamaged crystal with deep green color. Comes with a former dealer label showing an old price of $750.
SM273 - Azurite Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico thumbnail - 2 x 2 x 1.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Translucent, tabular Azurite crystals from the Volborthite zone. The crystals are complete and undamaged. Milpillas is already considered the best Azurite locality in the world. While crystals are currently abundant, now is the time to get a good one before supplies dry up.
SM499 - Tanzanite Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.7 x 2.3 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, gemmy single Tanzanite crystal, complete and well terminated. A large and impressive gem crystal with strong color. It's complete all around with glassy luster and only a small indentation from another crystal on the backside. This is a heated crystal and priced to move, would otherwise cost about $3,000-$4,000.
SM606 - Sphalerite with Quartz Pacococha, Huancavalica, Peru cabinet - 12.0 x 9.2 x 4.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, dark color Sphalerite crystals dominate the top of this specimen with the largest individual one measuring 3.5cm on edge. The matrix is entirely Sphalerite with the terminated top crystals showing small white druzy Quartz crystals providing a nice contrast. Weight is 1lb, 10oz. Ex. The Rocksmiths Minerals with their old label that is over 20 years old. A very clean specimen with only minor contact or chipping to the main crystals.
AR13 - Millerite Hall's Gap, Lincoln Co., Kentucky, USA miniature - 4 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Partial geode filled with golden hair-like Millerite, undamaged. Classic USA material from a now closed locality.
J50 - Silver with Acanthite Uchucchacua Mine, Peru miniature - 3.7 x 3.2 x 3.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Silver wires and patches of native Silver with areas of Acanthite rising from a black sulfide rich matrix. Estimated length of the longest Silver wire is about 2cm. There are a number of good wires present. These are no longer being found.
