Calcite Stalactites from Montana

Here's an old stash of 14 Calcite stalactites.  This is old material not commonly seen, and usually just as a single specimen here or there in a collection, so I was happy to acquire so many at one time.

Cluster of five Calcite stalactites on a tiny amount of limestone matrix. These Calcites are renowned for their unusual form and color and this one does not disappoint with a rich red/orange color and all stalactites intact and undamaged which is hard to come by with this material. This is an excellent example from the locality likely collected in the 1970s.

Single, undamaged translucent Calcite stalactite on a matrix of Calcite. These Calcites are renowned for their unusual form and color and this one does not disappoint with a rich red/orange color with an undamaged stalactite, which is hard to come by with this material. This is an excellent example from the locality likely collected in the 1970s.

Four long, undamaged Calcite stalactites with a partial stalactite attached on one side. Nicely translucent with a slightly darker red/orange color than most. These Calcites are renowned for their unusual form and color. This is an excellent example from the locality.

Cluster of long Calcite stalactites, approximately 7 total, with rich, translucent red/orange color. Unfortunatley the tip on the longest is missing, which is not uncommon. These Calcites are renowned for their unusual form and color.
