New find of the finest chrome Tremolites I have seen from Merelani. Tremolites have been found in recent years from Merelani and were usually found on the market as funny shaped crystals mixed in with lots of Diopside crystals. Previously found tremolites have been light green in color and more etched and irregular in shape, some with decent terminations but not uniform in crystal form. Recent finds of Diopside have been some of the best ever found at Merelani, so it is not surprising to see these new Tremolites with both the best form and the best color yet produced. |

One side is indented but I think this is natural as some of these (and most of all previous finds) had etched edges, not unlike spodumene. Great color on this one, size 2.8 x 1.3 x 0.5 cm.
