One half of a cut and polished multicolor Agate with moss agate surrounding banded red agate and small 'stubby' stalactite formations in the center cavity. Nice variation in colors. Specimen weighs 3lb, 9oz. This is from early production at the locality in the 1970s and is large sized. You could cut off another half inch or so to reveal a greater amount of banded agate.

SM606 - Sphalerite with Quartz $ 200 (=~ £ 144)
Pacococha, Huancavalica, Peru
cabinet - 12.0 x 9.2 x 4.7 cm

Large, dark color Sphalerite crystals dominate the top of this specimen with the largest individual one measuring 3.5cm on edge. The matrix is entirely Sphalerite with the terminated top crystals showing small white druzy Quartz crystals providing a nice contrast. Weight is 1lb, 10oz. Ex. The Rocksmiths Minerals with their old label showing $22 price over 20 years ago. A very clean specimen with only minor contact or chipping to the main crystals.

A matrix group with a 6 cm crystalline cluster of white Barite in association with a 3.5cm group of dark reddish brown Sphalerite crystals and numerous small 3-7mm purple Fluorite cubes make up this classic Tennessee District specimen. The matrix consists of gray silicified Dolomite serving as the base. The primary viewing angle of this specimen is in very good condition. The back side shows some contact with the Barite crystal cluster. It also comes with an old 1977 'Crystal Cavern Minerals' label showing a price of $50 comes with this nice combination species example.

A rare specimen from Butte County in California showing a cluster of bladed, light brown, Axinite crystals centered on a pair of water-clear Quartz crystals. The specimen is a floater with no point of attachment visible and the Quartz crystals are terminated on both ends. No visible damage to any part of this specimen. Murdoch, Joseph & Robert W. Webb (1966), in Minerals of California, notes an occurrence near the Feather River and Yankee Hill areas, but little else is known. Comes mounted with minreal tac in a 2-inch perky box with an original old faded label. A true rarity for the California collector.

Orpiment on matrix from the famous find at Twin Creeks back in the late 1990's. A group of yellow-orange crystals with chisel terminations contrasts nicely with the dark matrix. Most specimens were crystal clusters without matrix.
