J443 - Quartz cluster with Japan Law Twin $ 400 (=~ CAN$ 514) Washington Camp-Duquesne District, Patagonia District, Santa Cruz Co., Arizona small cabinet - 7.7 x 6.3 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A superb group of flattened, translucent, and frosted Quartz crystals with the two largest forming a 7.8cm wide classic Japan Law Twin pair. No damage to any of the main crystals with the only visible contact being the point of attachment on the bottom. A beautiful classic Quartz presentation from the famous Washington Camp locality in Arizona. The specimen is accompanied by a wonderful accounting of it's provenance noted in the highly detailed label of Bob Trimingham.

In addition, there are inclusions of a beige color clay-like mineral. Fantastic to explore under magnification.
J447 - Smoky Quartz, Manganocalcite, Pyrite and Calcite $ 220 (=~ CAN$ 283) Cavnic, Romania cabinet - 10.5 x 7.0 x 6.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A pair of large, double-terminated, Smoky Quartz crystals in parallel with each other, with a nice accent of brassy Pyrite crystals, faint pink color Manganocalcite, and white Calcite crystals. A beautiful combination of species with no apparant damage and only minimal chipping on the bottom.
J448 - Rose Quartz $ 125 (=~ CAN$ 161) Pittorra Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 4.2 x 3.3 x 2.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Glassy, lustrous, and transparent Rose Quartz crystals form a flower like cluster on white color Feldspar. Individual crystals of this color are relatively rare for Quartz, the mineral that is one of the most abundant species found on earth. Examples from Brazil are considered among the finest.

It's an aesthetic specimen with bright, lustrous crystals, and is complete all around. Ex. Hawthorneden Collection.
J450 - Andorite $ 220 (=~ CAN$ 283) San Jose Mine, Oruro, Bolivia thumbnail - 3.0 x 1.6 x 1.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A cluster of silver-black Andorite crystals, a rare Lead, Silver, Antimony sulfide, intermixed with brassy color Pyrite and clusters of needle-like Jamesonite crystals. The best examples of the species have come from Bolivia. This one features numerous small, steel-grey color crystals that are multi-layered with an oriented growth pattern.

J458 - Prehnite $ 400 (=~ CAN$ 514) Merelani Hills, Lelatema Mtns., Arusha Region, Tanzania small cabinet - 6.1 x 4.1 x 3.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Gemmy bright lemon yellow crystal group of Prehnite in a spherical grouping with sharp ridges of crystals. A small amount of silver-gray Graphite can be seen on one side. The quality of the Prehnite excellent with big blocky crystals extending out of the main cluster, good luster, and very translucent. Minor contact or cleaving to a few areas. These are superb for Prehnite.
J470 - Cuprite on Copper $ 275 (=~ CAN$ 353) Rubtsovskiy Mine, Altayskiy Kray, Siberia, Russia small cabinet - 5.6 x 3.8 x 2.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well crystallized Copper specimen with Cuprite crystals measuring about 3mm-5mm. It's a complete floater group of Copper crystals with sharp, deep red, Cuprite octahedrons.
J473 - Apatite with Arsenopyrite and Pyrite $ 150 (=~ CAN$ 193) Julcani Mine, Julcani District, Angaraes Province, Huancavelica, Peru miniature - 4.2 x 3.2 x 2.9 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() A difficult to find old-time specimen of yellow-green Apatite crystals with Pyrite and Arsenopyrite. Three complete Apatite crystals in all, with the largest measuring 1.1cm in length. Minor chipping to some of the edges.
J474 - Pyromorphite $ 275 (=~ CAN$ 353) 9 Level Jersey Vein, Bunker Hill Mine, Kellogg, Idaho miniature - 4.8 x 3.5 x 1.4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Some of the finest known examples of Pyromorphite came from The Bunker Hill Mine. Specimens were collected in a multitude of colors, mainly within the orange, yellow, and green spectrum. This example shows botryoidal crystals with both orange and yellow-green color and high luster. No damage other than at the edges, essentially solid Pyromorphite. Ex. John Barlow Collection.
J477 - Benitoite with Natrolite on matrix $ 400 (=~ CAN$ 514) Benitoite Gem Mine, San Benito County, California small cabinet - 6.0 x 4.0 x 1.9 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Over a dozen cornflower blue color Benitoite crystals are seen on a white Natrolite covered matrix. This is a classic, ultra-rare example of Benitoite with fully terminated crystals and no damage. A small black remnant crystal of Neptunite sits on one side. The Benitoite crystals are highly fluorescent under SW Ultraviolet light.

J680 - Calcite with Duftite $ 750 (=~ CAN$ 964) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 9.0 x 6.5 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mound-shaped matrix covered by green Duftite and small Calcite crystals with groupings and single larger Calcites to 3.5cm. Minor chipping to some edges but in overall great condition and very showy from all angles, good from all sides. A very sculptural and attractive Calcite.
