LL140 - Franklinite $ 250 Sterling Hill Mine, Franklin, New Jersey, USA small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm Octahedral crystals of Franklinite to 1.7cm on matrix. There are four good complete crystals exposed, with other partial crystals embedded in the matrix.
LL139 - Crocoite $ 950 Berezovsk, Ural Mtns., Russia miniature - 4 x 3 x 3 cm Orange/red Crocoite crystals to 1cm in size on multiple sides of the specimen. Bereszovsk is the type locality for Crocoite and was first described from this mine way back in 1766. Uncommon specimen potentially hundreds of years old.
LL132 - Pyromorphite $ 750 Wheatley Mine, Phoenixville, Chester Co., Pennsylvania, USA small cabinet - 9 x 6.5 x 2 cm Thin matrix covered on the front side by green Pyromorphite. A USA classic from a historic old Lead and Silver mine. In excellent condition, espcially considering this piece could date back to the 1800s. Comes with two old labels.
LL147 - Malachite after Azurite Touissit, Oujda, Morocco small cabinet - 5.3 x 3.5 x 3 cm Two connected crystals of Malachite after Azurite pseudomorphs. Rich green with a velvety surface luster. Comes with an old Al McGuinness label.
LL115 - Fluorite on Sphalerite $ 450 Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Tennessee, USA small cabinet - 8.5 x 5.5 x 5.5 cm Translucent purple Fluorite crystal atop crystals of deep red Sphalerite. The Fluorite is 5cm (on the diagonal), complete all around and undamaged.
CT900 - Witherite $ 350 Cumberland, England small cabinet - 6.5 x 4.7 x 2.8 cm Well crystallized cluster of solid Witherite. Undamaged, historic, fine quality specimen.
CT916 - Barite $ 350 Book Cliffs, Grand Junction, Colorado, USA small cabinet - 5.5 x 5.3 x 3 cm Glassy, transparent Barite crystal on matrix with other smaller crystals. Complete all around and undamaged, the main crystal is partially double-terminated. Old specimen from the Jean Mager and Chuck Trantham collections.
LL156 - Azurite, Malachite after Azurite $ 3500 Tsumeb, Namibia cabinet - 11 x 6.5 x 6.5 cm Cluster of prismatic Azurite and Malachite after Azurite crystals with Arsentsumebite and Cerussite. I just the love the highly colorful specimens from this mine and this is a prime example of such a specimen. A very colorful mixture of blue, deep green Malachite, lighter green Arsentsumebite, and small crystals of Cerussite scattered about. Comes with an old Phil Scalisi label.
LL114 - Azurite with Cerussite $ 300 Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4.5 x 4 x 3 cm Cluster of glossy Azurite crystals associated with small Cerussite crystals. Main crystal is 3cm and double-terminated.
LL159 - Smithsonite $ 1200 Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 9 x 7 x 4 cm Pink Smithsonite crystals to 1.5cm on a dark sulphide rich matrix. There is one cleaved crystal but the rest are perfect. Big and showy specimen.
LL180 - Tennantite $ 1600 Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 7 x 5.5 x 5 cm Sculptural cluster of well formed Tennantite crystals. Crystals reach 2cm on edge and some has coatings of micro white Dolomite. Areas of small Pyrite crystals add additional color contrast.
LL148 - Azurite $ 1250 Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4.5 x 3 x 2.5 cm Blocky, lustrous 2.5cm single Azurite crystal on matrix. Sharp, crisp edges with an area of 'electric' blue color on the main face.
LL141 - Azurite, Bayldonite after Mimetite, Wulfenite $ 600 Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 7.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 cm This specimen is just loaded with crystals - prismatic blue Azurite crystals, elongated green crystals of Bayldonite after Mimetite pseudomorphs, transparent, platy Wulfenite crystals, Malachite, Rosasite, and undoubtedly more. It's one of those specimens that is instantly recognizable as being from Tsumeb due to it's very colorful mixture of minerals.
LL183 - Lazulite $ 300 Big Fish River, Yukon, Canada miniature - 5 x 4 x 2 cm Large, lustrous crystals of deep blue Lazulite, the most well known of the 'Yukon phosphate' minerals found at this locality. Individual crystals are good sized for the locality reaching 1.2cm.
LL153 - Azurite $ 750 Touissit, Morocco miniature - 4.8 x 2.8 x 1.2 cm Large single Azurite crystal with a small attached crystal that is altering to Malachite. There is also some alteration to Malachite under the surface of the main crystal that gives areas of 'electric' blue color. Fully terminated and complete all around. There is one chipped area on the side with the small attached crystal (though most of what you see in the third photo is natural etched growth), otherwise it's undamaged. Comes with an old Geary Murdock collection label.
