SM211 - Babingtonite, Prehnite, and Quartz $ 300 Hongquizhen Quarry, Meigu Co., Liangshan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China small cabinet - 6.4 x 3.5 x 2.8 cm A beautiful specimen hosting sharp black babingtonite crystals with light green prehnite on Quartz points. It's a 'floater' with no apparent point of attachment and no visible damage to any of the species. This example is in pristine condition and is as superb classic from this Chinese locality.
SM316 - Fluorite, Galena, and Arsenopyrite $ 250 Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico small cabinet - 5.7 x 3.5 x 2.7 cm Clear modified cube Fluorite crystals are seen on the tops of gray galena crystals. Also in association are numerous groups of small silver colored Arsenopyrite crystals. A classic combination suite of species from Ojuela, with Fluorite on Galena being uncommon. Undamaged floater crystallized on all sides.
SM320 - Pyrrhotite with Muscovite $ 200 Nikolaevskiy Mine, Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Far-Eastern Region, Russiaa small cabinet - 7.0 x 4.2 x 2.6 cm Well-formed tabular, compound stacked Pyrrhotite crystals rest in a matrix of milky quartz and Calcite on this outstanding cabinet specimen from the Nikolaevskiy Mine at Dal'negorsk. It is, essentially, a 'floater' with no visible point of contact. No damage to any of the main crystals. Largest single crystal measures 3cm wide.
C625 - Cuprite on Copper $ 280 Mashamba West Mine, Katanga, Congo (DRC) cabinet - 10.5 x 6 x 2.5 cm Large arborescent group of Copper crystals coated by Cuprite. The Cuprite covers most of the surface of the Copper and is crystallized in areas. There is also black Heterogenite and green Malachite present in areas. Large and colorful Copper specimen found in 2018.
NMD - Linarite on Galena $ 300 Blanchard Mine, Bingham, New Mexico, USA miniature - 3.5 x 2.2 x 2 cm Single Galena crystal covered by crystals of bright blue Linarite.
NMG - Cerussite on Galena $ 200 Blanchard Mine, Bingham, New Mexico, USA small cabinet - 5.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm Single 3.1cm Galena crystal with a surface alteration to Cerussite on matrix.
SM440 - Duftite on Cerussite $ 150 Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4.2 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm Transparent, reticulated Cerussite crystals partially coated by green Duftite.
SM468 - Quartz $ 150 Herkimer, New York, USA miniature - 4.9 x 3.8 x 3 cm Double terminated 'Herkimer Diamond' Quartz crystal. Complete all around and undamaged.
SM469 - Calcite with Ilvaite $ 150 Nikolaevskiy Mine, Dal'negorsk, Russia small cabinet - 5.5 x 5 x 2.5 cm Interesting specimen showing 3 generations of Calcite. The top half of a scalenohedral Calcite sticks out of a wide rhombic Calcite crystal. Both were later covered by tiny black Ilvaite crystals, then all were overgrown by a final generation of transparent Calcite. You can see the tip of the scalenohedral Calcite covered by Ilvaite underneath the final transparent layer of Calcite.
SM495 - Vesuvianite $ 240 Fushan Iron Deposit, Hebei Prov., China miniature - 4 x 4 x 2 cm Double-terminated rootbeer brown Vesuvianite crystal with good luster.
SM499 - Tanzanite Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.7 x 2.3 x 1 cm Large, gemmy single Tanzanite crystal, complete and well terminated. A large and impressive gem crystal with strong color. It's complete all around with glassy luster and only a small indentation from another crystal on the backside. This is a heated crystal and priced to move, would otherwise cost about $3,000-$4,000.
SM503 - Serandite $ 125 Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada thumbnail - 2.2 x 2.0 x 1 cm Rare specimen of Serandite from Mont St. Hilaire. The specimen is composed of two intergrown crystals of salmon pink Serandite with attached mica.
SM516 - Pyrite $ 600 Huanzala Mine, Peru small cabinet - 9 x 6.5 x 5.5 cm Large 4.5cm Pyrite crystal atop smaller crystals. Specimen is composed solid, highly lustrous Pyrite. Bright and showy.
C631 - Stilbite on Quartz over Calcite $ 500 Jalgaon, Maharashtra State, India cabinet - 10.5 x 4 x 2 cm Laterally compressed translucent white Calcite crystal completely covered by a layer of sugary Quartz crystals, with attached pink Stilbite crystals. Unusual specimen that is reminiscent of Steve Smale's specimen known as 'The Cricket Bat' (see page 117 of the Smale Collection book). A couple of the Stilbite crystals are incomplete, otherwise undamaged, with the Stilbite only on one side. I've never seen another like this.
C633 - Silver $ 450 Batopilas, Chihuahua, Mexico small cabinet - 7 x 6 x 5.5 cm Vein of white Calcite loaded with crytalline Silver with lots of exposed Silver crystals on top. The Silver is present all throughout the Calcite, top to bottom. Out of an old collection from the 1970s.
