Good Peridot crystals will have sharp edges versus the more commonly seen rounded edged crystals - this is a good one, size 2.5 x 2.4 x 1.5 cm.

T56 - Tanzanite $ 6000 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.6 x 2.4 x 1.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Highly transparent Tanzanite crystal with excellent color. This crystal is from recent finds from a zone that is producing blue and green striped crystals when viewed in one direction. On the main face there is a central vertical blue zone with light green on the edges, more apparent in person than the photos. Top quality.

D366 - Zircon $ 120 Mashewa, Tanga Region, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.1 x 0.7 x 0.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Single gemmy Zircon crystal with a nice wine red to red brown coloration. Complete all around and undamaged except for some slight edge chipping. Smooth, flat crystal faces on the termination with surface growth patterns on the prism faces, which is common with these crystals.

Thick crystal with most of the original, flat prism faces still present, more etched at the ends. One of the best of the lot and 14 carats in weight. No damage.

AF326 - Jeremejevite $ 1800 Ameib Ranch, Arandis, Erongo Region, Namibia thumbnail - 3.1 x 1.2 x 1.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large single crystal from a find in spring 2010. Large size for the species, with both good length and perhaps more significantly, exceptional thickness. The crystal is naturally etched however retains a good glassy luster and has lots of internal transparency.

NA409 - Smithsonite $ 200 Kelly Mine, MAgdalena, Socorro Co., New Mexico miniature - 3.2 x 2.7 x 1.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fine sky blue botryoidal Smithsonite. This type has a more blue color than is typical and a bright, shimmering surface luster.
A139 - Ferberite on Quartz $ 360 Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China miniature - 5 x 5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Sharply formed Ferberite crystal fronting a clear Quartz crystal, both accented by small clusters of mica. I purchased this from Debbie Meng many years ago (10?) just as production from the Yaogangxian mine was hitting the market, and it has been in my collection every since. Undamaged, well balanced, and displays great.
