LP603 - Phenakite $ 1500 (=~ £ 1199) Rio Piracicaba, Carai, Minas Gerais, Brazil thumbnail - 2 x 1.8 x 1.1 cm Fine quality single crystal of Phenakite from old finds in Brazil. Complete gemmy crystal with lustrous glassy faces. Well crystallized on the front, edges, and most of the back side. Ex. Bill and Ann Cook collection.
MK928 - Azurite on Malachite $ 220 (=~ £ 176) Milpillas Mine, Cananea District, Sonora, Mexico thumbnail - 3 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm Sharp blue crystals of Azurite atop velvety Malachite. The crystals are complete and undamaged and reach 1.8cm in size. Milpillas Azurite specimens with the Azurite on velvety Malachite such as this are among my favorite.
LP481 - Cerussite $ 150 (=~ £ 120) Mibladen, Morocco small cabinet - 5.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm Large glassy crystals of Cerussite associated with pink Barite and Galena. These are good sized Cerussite crystals for the locality.
LP463 - Cuprian Smithsonite $ 450 (=~ £ 360) 79 Mine, Gila Co., Arizona, USA cabinet - 10.5 x 8.5 x 5 cm Good coverage of deep green Cuprian Smithsonite from the 79 Mine. Layers of satiny, translucent green Smithsonite cover the front and much of the back side of specimen.
LP605 - Tourmaline with Quartz (R) $ 3500 (=~ £ 2798) Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande, San Diego Co., California, USA small cabinet - 6.8 x 3.2 x 2 cm Branching, multi-colored Tourmaline specimen from the gem pegmatites of southern California. Gemmy green crystals with rose-colored terminations(more red than typical pink). This is unusual in that most Himalaya Mine Tourmaline are single crystals and this branching specimen, with an attached doubly-terminated Quartz, is particularly aesthetic. The large Tourmaline is also doubly-terminated. Ex. Tim Sherburn collection. Tim's label notes that it was self-collected by Tim in 1989 during a collecting trip with Peter Lyckberg. It has an indentation from another crystal on the side, and has one repair. This was one of Tim's most prized specimens in his collection and was shown on the first page of Tim's section in the California collector edition of the Mineralogical Record.
LP606 - Cerussite, Duftite on Calcite $ 300 (=~ £ 240) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 7 x 3.2 x 3 cm Glassy, gemmy Cerussite crystals atop Calcite crystals partially coated by green Duftite. The Cerussite are very bright and lustrous and reach 1.8cm wide. Well crystallized all around, it's nearly a floater with just one small point of contact on back.
LP607 - Adamite $ 350 (=~ £ 280) Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico small cabinet - 7.5 x 3 x 2.5 cm Lustrous and sparkling fan-shaped aggregates of Adamite crystals on Limonite. The Adamite are clean and undamaged and additional smaller single crystals add to it's appeal.
LP272 - Brazilianite $ 325 (=~ £ 260) Telerio Mine, Mendes Pimental, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 3.2 x 1.1 x 0.6 cm Glassy and gemmy Brazilianite crystal from the Telerio Mine in Brazil. This is a doubly-terminated crystal in perfect condition with just one slight indentation on one edge where it grew upon Albite. Ex. Len Pisciotta collection. Len hunted for doubly-terminated Brazilianites for years and this is one of a small sub-collection he assembled.
LP273 - Brazilianite $ 395 (=~ £ 316) Telerio Mine, Mendes Pimental, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 3.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm Glassy and gemmy Brazilianite crystal from the Telerio Mine in Brazil. This is a doubly-terminated crystal in perfect condition. A floater with a few smaller attached crystals and Albite. Ex. Len Pisciotta collection. Len hunted for doubly-terminated Brazilianites for years and this is one of a small sub-collection he assembled.
LP609 - Fluorite, Arsenopyrite with Quartz $ 500 (=~ £ 400) Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 9 x 8.5 x 5 cm Transparent blue Fluorite cubes and Aresenopyrte crystals grown among glassy clear Quartz crystals. This is an older piece (about 20 years) reecently acquired out of a collection and has a distinct and different appearance that more recent specimens from this mine. There are also a few small Ferberite crystals present.
LP610 - Tennantite after Azurite $ 750 (=~ £ 600) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 7 x 5 x 3 cm Crystal cluster of Tennanite after Azurite from Tsumeb. Elongated, primatic crystals of former Azurite that have been pseudomorphed to Tennantite. An undamaged cluster with individual crystals to 7cm in length. This piece was mined from the first oxidation zone of Tsumeb. This type of pseudomorph only occurred at Tsumeb, and then only rarely.
LP612 - Azurite $ 450 (=~ £ 360) Bisbee, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA small cabinet - 6.5 x 5.5 x 3.5 cm Rosette formations of Azurite from Bisbee. The main cluster on top is 4cm wide and well crystallized, with additional smaller clusters along the sides.
LP613 - Axinite on Quartz $ 280 (=~ £ 224) Puiva Mine #32, Polar Ural Mtns., Tyumen Oblast, Russia miniature - 4 x 3.8 x 3 cm Fine miniature composed of a sharp, transparent purple crystal of Axinite atop transparent smokey Quartz crystals. The Axinite is 2.5cm wide, transparent, and perfect on both sides. Comes with an old Frazier's Minerals label.
LP527 - Wulfenite with Mimetite $ 350 (=~ £ 280) Mina Oujela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico cabinet - 12 x 9 x 5 cm Limonite matrix with a large, flat display face covered by greenish yellow Mimetite and orange Wulfenite crystals. The Mimetite form small rounded clusters and the Wulfenite are well dispersed and separated across the speciemn. The wulfenite and translucent to transparent. Large, colorful specimen.
LP537 - Fluorite $ 125 (=~ £ 100) Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China miniature - 4.7 x 3.8 x 2.2 cm Glassy and gemmy cluster of transparent purple and light blue Fluorite crystals. The Fluorite are stepped cubic crystals and water clear.
