MK129 - Celestite $ 600 Sakoany deposit, Katsepy, Mitsinjo, Boeny, Madagascar cabinet - 12.5 x 11 x 7 cm Gemmy blue Celestite crystals covering matrix from the well known Sakoany deposit. This is an uncommonly good example with a gemmy central crystal 5.5cm tall that is glassy and undamaged. (Note that this is an old collection piece and was a little dusty at the time of photographing, and will be even better in person after rinsing).
MK135 - Olmiite $ 1250 N'Chwanning Mine, Kuruman, South Africa miniature - 3.7 x 3.2 x 2.5 cm Two peach colored Olmiite crystals on matrix covered by drusy Calcite crystals. The crystals are translucent with high luster and display well from either side.
SV581 - Tourmaline $ 1250 Stak Nala, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan miniature - 5 x 4.2 x 3.2 cm Doubly-terminated Tourmaline crystal with an attached cluster of Albite. The Tourmaline is 5 x 1.5cm with a pink, pyramidal termination on one end and a green, flat termination on the other end.
SV560 - Mica pseudo. Feldspar $ 125 Slievenamiskan, Spelga, Co. Down, Ireland miniature - 5 x 3 x 3 cm Fine grained, pinkish Muscovite mica that has pseudomorphed former Felspar crystals, with Quartz crystals. Found in a greisen at the margin with granite. Ex. Tim Sherburn collection, from Steve Moreton.
SV565 - Dolomite $ 350 Aughamore Quarry, Co. Sligo, Ireland small cabinet - 9 x 6 x 4 cm Curving, pearlescent crystals of Dolomite on matrix. The Dolomite has a light pink color and are present on all sides (a floater). The large central crystal is 3cm wide. Ex. David Green, Tim Sherburn collections.
SV552 - Calcite on Quartz $ 1000 Ballyegan Quarry, Castle Island, Co. Kerry, Ireland large cabinet - 22 x 14 x 7 cm Specimen of large Calcite crystals on a Quartz crystal covered matrix from the Tim Sherburn collection of Irish minerals. This is a from a well known, limited find in 1997. Specimens from this find are highly coveted in Ireland and this was the only one Tim ever saw for sale in his 25+ years of collecting Irish minerals. Large sized crystals in excellent condition. Ex. MK147 - Chlorargyrite crystals $ 3000 Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia thumbnail - 1.7 x 1.2 x 1 cm Brownish green, waxy crystals of Chlorargyrite from Broken Hill. Chlorargyrite is a rare silver species that's at it's best from Broken Hill, however usually as amorphous coatings and masses. Well formed crystals such as these are very rare.
