Lustrous, translucent rootbeer brown Vesuvianite crystals to 2cm on a solid matrix of massive Vesuvianite. A wonderful example of a California Vesuvianite and of higher quality than most from this locality.

Dark olive green botryoidal Kolwezite atop vivid pink Cobaltoan Calcite (or possibly Cobaltoan Dolomite) creating a stunning mixture of colors and forms. Kolwezite is a Copper Cobalt Carbonate Hydroxide and this is the type locality for the species. A beautiful large display piece and combination specimen of two desireable species together. Sawcut on back and one edge.

Dark green crystals of Kolwezite and/or Malachite that has pseudomorphed after Barite (?) on Cobaltian Calcite. The pseudomorphs form a cluster about 4cm wide in a vug. The Cobaltian Calcite is brown with an later generation of vivid pink. Kolwezite is a Copper Cobalt Carbonate Hydroxide and this is the type locality for the species. private_notes

Dark olive green Kolwezite pseudomorphs after Cuprite atop rhombs of pink Cobaltoan Calcite (or possibly Cobaltoan Dolomite) creating a stunning mixture of colors and forms. There are a few clusters of an earlier generation of botryoidal Kolwezite but the majority are angular crystals of the pseudomorphs. Kolwezite is a Copper Cobalt Carbonate Hydroxide and this is the type locality for the species. A beautiful large display piece and combination specimen of two desireable species together.

Large fan-shaped cluster of velvety green Malachite atop a matrix of fibrous Malachite intergrown with blue Chrysocolla. There are 5 crystals of octahedral Cuprite attached to the fan-shaped formation of Malachite. Unusual and colorful.

Glassy white Datolite crystals on matrix. Found by a friend while prospecting in this area known for Jadeite and Rosenhahnite crystals. These were found in a single boulder that was excavated during construction work on Highway 101. This boulder produced what are considered Californias's best Datolite. Individual crystals on this specimen reach 7mm in size and are translucent to transparent. Superb piece for a California suite of minerals.

Large, dark green single Tourmaline crystal from recent production at this famous mine in Zimbabwe. Tourmaline has been very rare from this mine historically, which has primarily targeted blue Topaz. Most Tourmaline found here occur as small pencil-like crystals and this fat, somewhat tabular crystal in an anomaly. Though dark, it is transparent facet grade throughout with a more greenish brown at the upper third and a bright pure green in the lower two thirds. There is a bit of edge chipping along the sides, it's complete all around, and has a perfect termination. Weighs a hefty 153 grams.

Large, deep red complete Zircon crystal from Tanzania, much larger than typical for this locality. It has a steep pyramidal termination and is nicely transparent when backlit.

A 2.8cm double-terminated Azurite crystal sits perfectly for display atop a small amount of matrix. Complete and undamaged with glassy faces all around and a few smaller crystal scattered around the base. Excellent miniature.
