The Dioptase formerly covered larger Calcite crystals, which are now gone, only the tips of one or two crystals can be seen on the backside now, however their form is clearly evident from the inside of the vug. The specimen is almost entirely Dioptase and Shattuckite. An unusual feature of this specimen is the light, pearly luster on the surface of the Shattuckite, which is more typically a darker, matte luster. Rare and unusual.
