K820 - Spinel $ 140 Mahenge, Morogoro, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.5 x 1.5 x 1 cm A 1.5cm pink Spinel with attached Calcite. The Spinel has great color and is translucent with transparent zones. Undamaged.
K774 - Tsavorite $ 750 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.6 x 2.3 x 1.8 cm Large single green Grossular var. Tsavorite with bevelled edges and high luster. Contacted at the bottom and all top faces undamaged.
K832 - Kulanite $ 280 Stoneman Camp, Young Creek, Yukon, Canada thumbnail - 2.9 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm Exceptional specimen of the rare phosphate mineral Kulanite. These are often found as specimens with small drusy crystals. This specimen has a large isolated crystal/compound crystal (?) 1cm wide along with other smaller, isolated crystals. Out of an old collection.
K830 - Chalcocite $ 150 Flambeau Mine, Ladysmith, Wisconsin, USA thumbnail - 2.3 x 2.1 x 1.6 cm Cluster of well formed Chalcocite crystals with a dark blue, irridescent color. Main crystal is 2.2cm in size.
K837 - Pyrite on Tetrahedrite $ 175 Quiruvilca Mine, Quiruvilca District, La Libertad, Peru thumbnail - 3 x 2.5 x 2 cm Cluster of Tetrahedrite crystals with coatings of Pyrite on select faces. Crystals reach 1.8cm on edge.
K956 - Fergusonite $ 250 Ishikawa, Japan thumbnail - 2.2 x 1.5 x 0.6 cm Well formed single crystal of Fergusonite, a rare Yttrium nobium oxide species. Single crystal complete all around and sharp for the species - a hard to find species in good crystals. A rare addtion to a thumbnail suite or Japanese collection.
K527 - Spessartine $ 650 Nani, Loliondo, Tanzania thumbnail - 3 x 3 x 3 cm Complete 'citrus' orange Spessartine crystal from old finds in Tanzania. These were mostly found as partial or damaged crystals with perfect complete crystals such as this much less common. Equant form with very minimal edge wear, otherwise no damage. There are a few small areas of black Braunite inclusions, otherwise it's nothing but gemmy orange. These were often cut up into spectacular gemstones, and this one could cut a number of small gems.
M265 - Pyrite $ 180 Butte, Montana, USA thumbnail - 2.5 x 2 x 1.8 cm Fine and unusual Pyrite with somewhat stepped, modified octahedral crystals forming a tringular, pyramid shaped specimen. Crystallzed all around and undamaged. From an old Pyrite collection built in the 1970s-80s.
M220 - Hemimorphite $ 225 Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico thumbnail - 2.7 x 2.1 x 1.3 cm Beautiful spray of Hemimorphite crystals, complete all around and undamaged. It's even partially double-terminated. A superb thumbnail sized specimen for the species.Better than photos.
M235 - Wulfenite $ 90 Los Lamentos, Chihuahua, Mexico thumbnail - 2 x 1.5 x 1 cm Cluster of blocky, dipyramidal Wulfenite crystals. Mounted in a Perky box.
M377 - Copper $ 125 Ajo, Pima Co., Arizona, USA thumbnail - 2.6 x 2.3 x 0.8 cm Diamond-shaped mass of crystallized Copper that appears to have grown in a thin seam. Criss-crossing crystals of Copper are evident along the sides.
M387 - Copper $ 260 Keeweenaw Peninsula, Michigan, USA thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm Thumbnail sized specimen with large, very well formed crystals of Copper.
M463 - Bixbyite on Hematite after Garnet $ 140 Maynard Claim, Thomas Range, Juab Co., Utah, USA thumbnail - 2.1 x 1.2 x 0.8 cm Interconnected cluster of Hematite pseudomorphs after garnet, all sprinkled with lustrous black cubes of Bixbyite. Undamaged quality thumbnail.
M448 - Babingtonite on Prehnite Hongquizhen Quarry, Meigu Co., Sichuan Province, China thumbnail - 3.1 x 2.5 x 2.1 cm Cluster of Babingtonite crystals on spheres of green Prehnite from a now old and defunct locality. The crystals are undamaged and sharply formed. It's crystallized all with the contact at the base. No longer being found.
M642 - Diaspore $ 250 Milas, Mugla Prov., Turkey thumbnail - 1.4 x 1 x 0.5 cm V-twin crystal of color change Diaspore. From new finds in the mountains near Milas, these new Diaspore crystals are spectacular in color and form. Glassy, flat termination faces one one 'arm' (other termination incomplete) and gem quality and transparent inside. Medium purple color in natural sunlight.
