K240 - Tsavorite, Diopside on Graphite $ 280 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania small cabinet - 6 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm Transparent Tsavorite crystals with Diopside on a matrix of solid Graphite. The Tsavorites are gemmy with great color, largest crystal is 5mm.
K717 - Tsavorite on Diopside $ 75 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.2 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm Elongated groups of Tsavorite crystals intergrown with a glassy, terminated Diopside crystal. There are also small Pyrite crystals associated.
K718 - Tsavorite on Graphite $ 275 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.5 x 1 x 1 cm High quality, glassy 1cm Tsavorite crystal with good color on a Graphite matrix. Undamaged crystal that is transparent. There are some shallow grooves on the surface caused by former Graphite crystals.
K774 - Tsavorite $ 750 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.6 x 2.3 x 1.8 cm Large single green Grossular var. Tsavorite with bevelled edges and high luster. Contacted at the bottom and all top faces undamaged.
M352 - Tsavorite $ 300 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 3 x 2 x 1.9 cm Large single Tsavorite crystal with attached Graphite. Though not highly gemmy, it's undamaged (some areas etched and rehealed) with impressive size and great color.
M353 - Tanzanite on Tsavorite $ 450 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 3 x 2 x 1.6 cm Large single Tsavorite crystal with attached Graphite and a 1.2cm intergrown, terminated Tanzanite crystal on the left side. It's glassy and gemmy with great color. It's undamaged with a valley in the fron face where Graphite interferred with the growth. There are also included crystals of graphite inside the Tsavorite. Unusual combination and impressive for the Tsavorite alone.
M702 - Tsavorite $ 350 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.9 x 1.7 x 1.6 cm Large single Tsavorite crystal with good color. Nearly a floater with a couple indentations, contacts with lustrous glassy faces. It's not perfect, but for the size and color it's a good value.
M703 - Tsavorite with Diopside $ 300 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2 x 2 x 1.4 cm Large single Tsavorite crystal with good color. The main crystal is 2.5cm wide and displays great from the front with small Diopside crystals below. The backside (3rd photo) shows a dimpled surface from growth against Graphite crystals.

M791 - Tsavorite $ 125 Merelani Hills, ARusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.7 x 1.5 x 1 cm Single Tsavorite crystal with good glassy luster a bright green coloration.
D574 - Tsavorite, Diopside on Graphite $ 475 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 5 x 4 x 3 cm Crystals of Tsavorite and Diopside on Graphite. The crystals formed in a vug on massive Graphite with crystals of Graphite present lining the vug. The main Tsavorite is about 7mm and highly gemmy. Tsavorite is a chrome and vanadium rich variety of Grossular from East Africa and is one of the most valuable types of garnet found anywhere. This specimen was found at the Merelani Tanzanite mines and a fine example of some of minerals found at this locality.
D580 - Tsavorite, Graphite, Calcite, Diopside, Pyrite $ 300 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.5 x 3.3 x 2.4 cm Classic Merelani combination of elongated Tsavorite (Grossular) crystals, white Calcite, Diopside, Pyrite and well formed Graphite crystals. Excellent display and study piece for the locality.
SV305 - Tsavorite, Calcite, Diopside $ 200 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.1 x 1.3 x 1.1 cm Elongated faden-like Tsavorite crystals on a matrix of Calcite crystals. This is an uncommon form of Tsavorite (Grossular) that are not often seen on matrix. There is a Diopside crystal and small Pyrite crystals in association. Great thumbnail from the Merelani Tanzanite mines.
