T927 - Quartz scepter with Hematite $ 250 (=~ € 228)

Double terminated Quartz scepter from a 2017 find. The scepter head has both smokey and amethyst coloration and the stalk is pink due to Hematite inclusions. Complete and undamaged. The combination of the colors and form make for a great specimen.

Formation of elongated Tsavorite crystals that grade up in size towards the top, with attached tiny Pyrite crystals. Glassy and well crystallized all around. This style of Tsavorite is new this year and highly unusual, and a wonderful surprise from the Merelani mines. It's essentially a floater, with a small point of contact at the thick end. At the right angle it looks like a lightning bolt. An amazing specimen!!!

Formation of multiple elongated Tsavorite crystal groups with attached sphene, diopside, and Pyrite crystals. Excellent color on the Tsavorite, glassy and well crystallized all around. Elongated Tsavorite crystal group with attached Pyrite crystals from the Merelani Tanzanite mines in Tanzania. Twisting, towering stack of crystals with a distinct faden line. Excellent color Tsavorite that is glassy and well crystallized all around. This style of Tsavorite is unusual and only found over the course of one or two years.  It was a wonderful surprise from the Merelani mines. Complete and undamaged with the point of contact at the bottom of the stack. An amazing specimen!!!

Deep chrome green Dravite crystal with a curious clear (Achroite) termination. Translucent with excellent color and undamaged.

Single yellow scalenohedral Calcite crystal with a sharp phantom of Cinnabar. This is a rare specimen from the old mercury mining district of Terlingua, located near the Mexican border. Cinnabar was discovered here in the 1880s, creating a temporary mining town, now nothing remains but a ghost town.

Single pink Tanzanite crystal with attached Calcite and/or Zeolites. Solid base that tapers out towards the top with crystals all over the terminations. Pink is one the rarest colors for Tanzanite (or Zoisite if you prefer) and this one has well saturated color. Complete and undamaged. Unusual crystal from a late 2017 find.

Transparent blue Beryl from the Erongo finds. This one is unusual for the locality in that it is totally transparent and it's lightly etched. Complete and undamaged. Good luster too, better than photos.

Unusual Tanzanite crystal that is yellow in one direction and blue with yellow when viewed from the other direction. Complete and undamaged with great glassy luster. Weighs 18.9 carats.
