TZ252 - Prehnite $ 300 (=~ CAN$ 412) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 4 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm Blue Prehnite specimen about as good as these get form wise as most of these are massess of crystals with at least some damage around the edges. This is a clean group front and back, nearly a floater with some traces of Graphite on the bottom where it was attached. These have a nice color change between shades of blue in different lighting.
AF558 - Gaudefroyite $ 750 (=~ CAN$ 1029) N'Chwanning Mine, Kuruman, South Africa miniature - 4.5 x 3.5 x 1.5 cm Rare specimen of Gaudefroyite from the Kalahari manganese fields of South Africa. Back when these were being found, they were most commonly seen as thinner, crusy crystals on matrix. To find such thick Gaudefroyite crystals such as these on Manganite matrix were always rare, and even more so now. The crystals reach 13 x 7mm in size. Rare piece.
TZ283 - Sphalerite with Graphite, Calcite Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.6 x 2.0 x 1.7 cm Floater group of Sphalerite crystals in excellent condition with attached Graphite and backside and bottom coated by Calcite crystals. Complete and undamaged. A really nice example and not a common Merelani specimen. Original list price was $380.
TU159 - Azurite $ 180 (=~ CAN$ 247) Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 3.8 x 2.3 x 2.0 cm Azurite crystal cluster on matrix. The Azurite has superb luster and bright 'electric' blue color. Largest crystal is 1.7cm wide. No damage.
TU196 - Azurite $ 950 (=~ CAN$ 1304) Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 3.4 x 3.0 x 3.0 cm Azurite crystal cluster on a small amount of matrix featuring a fine, large 2.8cm tall and 2.2 cm wide main crystal. The Azurite has bright 'electric' blue color. Fine and undamaged.
TS216 - Calcite with Malachite after Azurite Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 5 x 4 x 3 cm ex. Carl Acosta Coral-like formation of light green Calcite with four crystals of Malachite after Azurite.
TS222 - Smithsonite $ 400 (=~ CAN$ 549) Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4.8 x 3.5 x 3 cm ex. Carl Acosta Pink crystals of Smithsonite on a dark sulfide matrix. Exceptionally well colored vivid crystals.
M104 - Azurite $ 275 (=~ CAN$ 377) Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 3.3 x 2.7 x 2.0 cm Azurite crystal cluster composed of a major 2.1cm crystal with smaller crystals, some of which are altering to Malachite. The Azurite has bright 'electric' blue color.
M105 - Azurite $ 250 (=~ CAN$ 343) Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 3.5 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm Azurite crystal cluster composed of a major 2.0cm crystal situated on top, with smaller crystals. Crystallized all around with some Malachite. The Azurite has bright 'electric' blue color.
E629 - Azurite $ 600 (=~ CAN$ 823) Blue Mine, Chessy, Rhone-Alpes, France miniature - 3.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm Lovely rosettes of Azurite from the famous Chessy mines of France. These mines are long closed and I understand these specimens were found in the 1800s. This specimen is composed of two attached clusters of gorgeous blue color. There are no points of contact, a complete floater and undamaged.
M138 - Azurite on Malachite $ 450 (=~ CAN$ 618) Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 3.5 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm Single, terminated Azurite crystal on velvety, botryoidal Malachite. The Azurite is 1.5cm long. Specimens such as this are uncommon from Milpillas and are highly attractive.
E664 - Malachite after Cuprite on Azurite $ 500 (=~ CAN$ 686) Blue Mine, Chessy, Rhone-Alpes, France miniature - 5 x 3.3 x 2.8 cm Fine, deep blue cluster of Azurite from the famous Chessy mines of France. These mines are long closed and this specimen was likely found in the 1800s. There are numerous attached crystals of Malachite that have pseudomorphed after Cuprite and a few areas where the Azurite has altered to Malachite.
E669 - Azurite $ 260 (=~ CAN$ 357) Blue Mine, Chessy, Rhone-Alpes, France miniature - 4 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm Floater cluster of Azurite from the famous Chessy mines of France. This one has a neat 2.5cm wide crystal edge forming a sharp ridge right down the center. These mines are long closed and I understand these specimens were found in the 1800s. There are no points of contact, a complete floater. There is some damage on one end but overall it's in great condition.
M169 - Azurite $ 1200 (=~ CAN$ 1647) Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 4.2 x 3 x 2 cm Bright, electric blue Azurite crystals from the watercourse pocket. Two larger intergrown crystals form the backdrop for a number of smaller crystals projecting forward. Undamaged.
SA720 - Brazilianite $ 300 (=~ CAN$ 412) Telerio Mine, Mendes Pimental, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 3.7 x 3.0 x 2.4 cm Attractive cluster of glassy and gemmy Brazilianite with the main crystal a thick 3.5cm long crystal. Undamaged and sits upright on its own.
