CT705 - Mimetite $ 350 Bilbao Mine, La Blanca, Ojocaliente Municipality, Zacatecas, Mexico miniature - 4.5 x 4 x 3 cm Old, somewhat globular mass of orange Mimetite from Mexico. Specimen is solid, translucent Mimetite. Rarely seen specimen from a small limited find in the 1950s. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection.
CT777 - Hematite after Magnetite Payun volcano, Altiplano de Payun Matru, Mendoza, Argentina miniature - 4 x 4 x 4 cm Undamaged crystals group of Hematite pseudomorphs after octahedral magnetite crystals from the 2002 find in Argentina. Fascinating, highly sculptural specimen with bright, silvery metallic luster. Largest crystals is 2.5cm in size. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection.
CT845 - Andradite var. Melanite $ 450 Locality #1 near New Idria, San Benito Co., California, USA miniature - 4 x 3.5 x 2 cm Black Andradite var. Melanite crystals scattered on matrix. An excellent example with lustrous black crystals, including a large single that stands out off the matrix that is to 9mm in size. Ex. Chuck Trantham collection. Acquired by Chuck in 1992 via trade from Al McGuinness's personal collection (Al had collected or acquired it in 1980). The best Melanite specimen I saw in the collection.
LL117 - Acanthite $ 750 Hongda Mine, Xiaoqinggou Ag-Mn deposit, Lingqiu County, Datong, Shanxi, China miniature - 3.7 x 2.9 x 1.1 cm Steel gray Acanthite crystal showing good crystal structure on both sides.
LL143 - Dioptase $ 350 Ray Mine, Pinal Co., Arizona, USA miniature - 4.8 x 3.8 x 2 cm Drusy crystals of Dioptase with Chrysocolla on matrix. Excellent quality for the locality and the USA in general.
LL139 - Crocoite $ 950 Berezovsk, Ural Mtns., Russia miniature - 4 x 3 x 3 cm Orange/red Crocoite crystals to 1cm in size on multiple sides of the specimen. Bereszovsk is the type locality for Crocoite and was first described from this mine way back in 1766. Uncommon specimen potentially hundreds of years old.
LL114 - Azurite with Cerussite $ 300 Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4.5 x 4 x 3 cm Cluster of glossy Azurite crystals associated with small Cerussite crystals. Main crystal is 3cm and double-terminated.
