Cluster of Tennantite after Azurite crystals covered by Smithsonite crystals. This is the most aesthetic example of this Tsumeb psuedomorph I have seen, and only one of very few that have the associated Smithsonite. It's a floater crystallized all around with a tall 4cm main crystal rising straight up out of the group. The small black areas are not damage - just areas where the Tennantite is corroded and Smithsonite did not grow. The main crystal is completely covered by Smithsonite on the backside and shows mostly Tennantite on the front side. Comes with a custom Lucite base that says 'Tennanite after Anhydrite", though I have only ever seen these called Tennantite after Azurite.

J680 - Calcite with Duftite $ 750
Tsumeb, Namibia
small cabinet - 9.0 x 6.5 x 6 cm

Calcite with Duftite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/J680a.jpg] Calcite with Duftite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/J680b.jpg] Calcite with Duftite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/J680c.jpg] Calcite with Duftite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/j680d.jpg] Calcite with Duftite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/j680e.jpg]

Mound-shaped matrix covered by green Duftite and small Calcite crystals with groupings and single larger Calcites to 3.5cm. Minor chipping to some edges but in overall great condition and very showy from all angles, good from all sides. A very sculptural and attractive Calcite.

J412 - Smithsonite on Cerussite $ 280
Tsumeb, Namibia
miniature - 4 x 3.5 x 2.0 cm

Undamaged 'snowflake' of Cerussite with small crystals of green, cuprian Smithsonite attached to the front. Complete and good from both sides, both front and back sides shown.

J408 - Dioptase $ 180

Gemmy bright Dioptase crystals over a Duftite coated matrix. Nearly a floater, well crystallized all around with just a couple small areas of damage/contact on the backside. Very bright and colorful.

J419 - Smithsonite $ 300
Tsumeb, Namibia
miniature - 4.4 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm

Undamaged cluster of yellow Smithsonite crystals on matrix. Crystals reach 2cm in size. A good example of Tsumeb Smithsonite, considered teh world's best, and no longer being found.

TS254 - Azurite $ 1650
Tsumeb, Namibia
miniature - 4.2 x 3.0 x 2.8 cm

Azurite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/ts254a.jpg] Azurite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/ts254b.jpg] Azurite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/ts254c.jpg] Azurite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/ts254d.jpg] Azurite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/ts254e.jpg] Azurite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/ts254f.jpg] Azurite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/ts254g.jpg]

Divergent sprays of Azurite crystals on a bit of white matrix. These are the uncommon GEM Azurites from Tsumeb that show great color and transparency when backlit.  Good pointed termination on most crystals.  A few crystals have ragged, unterminated ends but these are natural and not damaged. A rare old treasure.

J684 - Dioptase with Plancheite $ 2500
Tsumeb, Namibia
miniature - 4.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm

Dioptase with Plancheite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/J684a.jpg] Dioptase with Plancheite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/J684b.jpg] Dioptase with Plancheite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/J684c.jpg]

Highly aesthetic Tsumeb Dioptase, decidedly more colorful than most with the presence of the baby blue Plancheite spheres. The Dioptase occurs as both small drusy crystals coating Calcite rhombs and larger, highly lustrous crystals to 1.8cm.

J414 - Dioptase with Calcite $ 275
Tsumeb, Namibia
small cabinet - 7.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm

Dioptase crystals to 1cm with larger, translucent Calcite crytals to 1.5cm Some damage present but in overall good condition. Typical Tsumeb Dioptase/Calcite specimens have white, rhombic Calcite. This one is a little different with translucent to transparent scalenohedral Calcite crystals.

Tsumeb, Namibia
small cabinet - 7.5 x 6.5 x 2.0 cm
