T566 - Tsavorite on Graphite $ 1200 (=~ ¥ 178050) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.1 x 1.1 x 1 cm Outstanding small thumbnail composed of two interconnected GEM Tsavorite crystal on Graphite. Flawless gem Tsavorite crystals are hard to come by because the cutting value is so high they are almost always cut as gemstones. This specimen has two glass-like, undamaged crystals, though one has a indentation where another Tsavorite was formerly located.
T567 - Tsavorite, Diopside on Graphite $ 1600 (=~ ¥ 237400) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.9 x 1.6 x 1.6 cm Crystallized Graphite with light green Diopside and vivid green Tsavorite crystals. Tsavorite crystals are 8mm and very gemmy with excellent color. Undamaged, uncommon and showy Merelani combo specimen.
T569 - Pyrite on Tsavorite $ 150 (=~ ¥ 22256) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 cm A recent surprise from Merelani are these elongated Tsavorite crystals. This one is a glassy green crystal, undamaged, and beautifully accented by Pyrite crystals.
T641 - Tsavorite with Pyrite $ 1500 (=~ ¥ 222563) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 3 x 0.5 x 0.5 cm An extremely elongated Tsavorite crystal with attached Pyrite crystals. Fully crystallized all around and undamaged, even the bottom end has some crystal faces present. This is the longest elongated Tsavorite I have yet seen from recent production.
T691 - Tsavorite $ 400 (=~ ¥ 59350) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.9 x 1 x 0.8 cm Fine quality elongated Tsavorite crystal from recent production (2017) that has been producing these stange, elongated crystals. Many of the new crystals, like this one, exhibit a faden line running up the C-axis. This is an undamaged floater cluster of a few interconnected crystals.

Glassy and well crystallized all around. This style of Tsavorite is new this year and highly unusual, and a wonderful surprise from the Merelani mines. It's essentially a floater, with a small point of contact at the thick end. At the right angle it looks like a lightning bolt. An amazing specimen!!!

T936 - Tsavorite with Pyrite $ 500 (=~ ¥ 74188) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.6 x 0.5 x 0.4 cm Elongated Tsavorite crystal group with attached Pyrite crystals from the Merelani Tanzanite mines in Tanzania. Twisting, towering stack of crystals with a distinct faden line. Excellent color Tsavorite that is glassy and well crystallized all around. This style of Tsavorite is unusual and only found over the course of one or two years. It was a wonderful surprise from the Merelani mines. Complete and undamaged with the point of contact at the bottom of the stack. An amazing specimen!!!
T935 - Tsavorite with Sphene, Diopside, Pyrite $ 500 (=~ ¥ 74188) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.3 x 1.0 x 0.8 cm Formation of multiple elongated Tsavorite crystal groups with attached sphene, diopside, and Pyrite crystals. Excellent color on the Tsavorite, glassy and well crystallized all around. This style of Tsavorite is new this year and highly unusual, and a wonderful surprise from the Merelani mines. It's essentially a floater, with only the very tip of one part of the bottom as a possible point of contact. An amazing specimen!!!
C531 - Grossular $ 490 (=~ ¥ 72704) Handan Pref., Hebei Prov., China small cabinet - 7.5 x 6.0 x 5.5 cm This is a large cluster of nothing but Grossular garnet crystals. The crystals are an amber/yellow color and transluscent to transparent. Average crystal size is about 5mm with some crystals approaching 1cm. A good sized cluster for the find. There are a few contacts but the majority is clean undamaged crystals. .
SM953 - Spessartine $ 450 (=~ ¥ 66769) Nani, Loliondo, Arusha Region, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.3 x 2.3 cm Complete orange Spessartine with good translucency and large areas of internal transparency. This is a complete crystal all around with no contacts - only a small minority of the find are complete crystals, most are shards or have contacts on at least 1 or two sides. Some areas of black inclusions but many areas of gem, bright citrus orange. Weighs 104 carats.
SM955 - Spessartine $ 350 (=~ ¥ 51931) Nani, Loliondo, Arusha Region, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.2 x 2.2 x 2.0 cm Complete orange Spessartine with good translucency and large areas of internal transparency. This is a complete crystal all around with no contacts - only a small minority of the find are complete crystals, most are shards or have contacts on at least 1 or two sides. Some areas of black inclusions but many areas of gem, bright citrus orange. Weighs 69 carats.
J83 - Spessartine $ 500 (=~ ¥ 74188) Nani, Loliondo, Arusha Region, Tanzania miniature - 3.8 x 3.2 x 3.1 cm An equant, complete orange Spessartine with good translucency and areas of internal transparency. This is a complete crystal all around with only a few small natural surface pits and no black inclusions. Rich bright citrus orange coloration throughout. Weighs 296 carats.
