A unusual feature of pegmatites is the occasional occurrence of "bent" crystals, believed to be caused by repeated fracturing and rehealing within the pegmatite. This specimen features a "bent" Tourmaline draped over the shoulder on a gem Morganite crystal. The Tourmaline grades from dark green to pink at the termination. The Morganite is crystallized on all sides, truely unique.

Lustrous black Tantalite crystals sitting upright in a jumbled row across Albite crystals. A very aesthetic specimen in hand, much more than the photos indicate.

A 6cm Schorl crystal on smokey quartz with Albite hosting a very unusual Fluorite crystal. The purple Fluorite is 1.1 cm across and apears to be a modified octahedral crystal (there are a few small octahedons on other areas of the specimen). The Fluorite forms almost a perfect, complete sphere shape. I am told this formation is known as "Ox eye" Fluorite, though I have never seen anything like it before.

A175 - Pollucite $ 400 SOLD
Shengus Mine, Skardu Dist., Pakistan
small cabinet - 9 x 3 x 2

(click on an image to enlarge)

Pollucite is normally seen as roundish white crystals that resemble baseballs - this is the only prismatic crystal I've ever seen. It's a floater with good smooth faces on all sides. There are small brown spheres of an unidentified mineral on one side. Neat and unusual.

H1 - Hambergite $ 1500 SOLD
Dassu, Skardu Dist., Pakistan
miniature - 3.5 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm

Glassy well formed Hambergite crystal of top quality atop Albite. The small partial crystal on top the main crystal rehealed (and was covered in pocket clay when I purchased it). This is fine, sharply formed crystal with transparency, which is exceptional as the vast majority of Hambergites are usually opaque and/or crudely formed, 3.5 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm.

A277 - Clinozoisite $ 300 SOLD
Tormiq, Skardu Dist., Pakistan

Gemmy single crystal. Beryllonite was previously very rare until good crystals started coming out of Brazil recently associated with Brazilianite. Then big crystals started to appear from the pegmatites of Pakistan, however while large, most are opaque white crystals. This one is unusually gemmy and is facet quality in areas, 3 x 3 x 2 cm.

Sharp Peridot crystal with good green color and gemmy. Good Peridot crystals will have sharp edges versus the more commonly seen rounded edged crystals - this is a good one, size 2.5 x 1.6 x 1.1 cm.
