Unusual, stunning specimen of Azurite crystals on Quartz crystals. Quartz crystal cluster is coated with a powder blue mineral in turn spinkled with lustrous blue Azurite crystals. Unusual old material from a lesser known Mexican Azurite locality, 5.5 x 5 x 3 cm.

Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada

   

GEM Grossular crystals associated with Diopside. Largest crystal reaches 6mm across. This is the rare stuff with the best pink color, 3.8 x 2.5 x 2 cm.

Thin, irridescent bladed crystals on a small amount of matrix, mounted in perky box. Ex. Ydren collection, 2.7 x 2 x 1.2 cm.

Huge single crystal, complete and undamaged on both sides. Glassy luster translucent with areas of transparency, 12 x 8 x 3 cm.


NA506 - Cassiterite on Tourmaline $345
Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande, California

 

 

1 cm Cassiterite atop a section of green Tourmaline crystal. Cassiterite was uncommon at the mine, and I have never seen a Cassiterite on Tourmaline from the Himalaya, 2.4 x 2.4 x 2 cm.


NA425 - Neptunite with Benitoite and Joaquinite $220
Gem Mine, San Benito Co., California

   

Striking specimen of well isolated Neptunite crystals rising vertically off matrix. Two of the Neptunites have tip damage, but does not significanlty detract from overall effect of specimen. Small Benitoite crystals and numerous reddish brown Joaquinite crystals present, 6 x 4.5 x 3 cm.


NA461 - Lazulite with Apatite $300
Rapid Creek, Yukon, Canada

   

Superb floater cluster of Lazulite crystals to 1.1 cm with pale pinkish Apatite crystals to 8mm with Siderite and Quartz crystals. Undamaged (there is an irregular crystal in bottom center but is not damaged). Drusy white Apatite coats Lauzlite crystals on the backside. Super piece crystalized on all sides, they don't get much better than this, 3.5 x 3 x 1.8 cm.


NA518 - Pyrargyrite on Acanthite $250
Proana Mine, Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico

 

 

Clusters of Pyrargyrite crystals with individuals to 5mm on Acanthite matrix. The Pyrargyrite is translucent red with strong backliting, size 3.2 x 3 x 2 cm.

Rapid Creek, Yukon, Canada

   

Lazulite crystals to 1.2 cm with Siderite and Quartz crystals. Some of Lazulite is partially coated by tiny drusy Apatite crystals. Excellent piece crystallized front and back, 3.9 x 3.3 x 2 cm.


NA107 - Epidote with Quartz $375
Green Monster Mine, Prince of Wales Island, Alaska

   

Fine specimen of thick Epidote crystals with Quartz from the classic locality. Main crystal is 4 x 2 x 1.3 cm in size. No damage to this specimen, I can't tell which view is best, good all around. Mounted on a lucite stand, 5 x 4 x 2.5 cm.

Curved yellow Pyromorphite crystals on matrix. Excellent piece, old Kristalle label, size 3.4 x 3.1 x 2.4 cm.


NA127 - Acanthite $280
Guanajuato, Mexico

 

 

Fine thumbnail acanthite with mulitple crystals culminating in a large, sharp 1.5cm cubic crystal at the tip. Better in person, 3.1 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm.


NA361 - Chalcophyllite $250

Blue/green Chalcophyllite in two separate vugs, recently collected by John Seibel, size 3.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm.


NA521 - Realgar $250
Nevada

 

 

Terminated Realgar crystals to 1.5 cm, likely from the Getchell Mine. Good sized Nevada Realgar crystals that have remained bright and translucent. Ex. Martin Zinn collection, size 6 x 5 x 4 cm.


NA287 - Amazonite with Quartz $225
Two Points Claim, Lake George, Colorado

   

Pair of Amazonite crystals with exceptional color (color has a little more green in person, but just as intense). The smokey quartz crystal shattered curing pocket growth but has completely rehealed, 5.5 x 5.5 x 4 cm.


NA728 - Calcite on Pyrargyrite $475
Proana Mine, Fresnillo, Mexico

 

 

Large single crystal with scalloped termination, 2.5 x 1.5 cm, with attached Calcite across the top and down one side. Another crystal protruds the left, this one with either an odd, smooth termination or a contact face where it grew into a pocket wall. Another 1 cm crystal is attached to the lower right. Sngle crystals of this size are hard to come by. A fine and large Pyrargyrite and the best of a small lot stashed for many years in the a showbox of a local miner, size 3 x 2.8 x 2.4 cm.


NA810 - Azurite $250

El Cobre Mine, Concepcion del Oro, Zacatecas, Mexico

   

Outstanding Azurite crystal cluster, 1.7 cm wide, from the collection of Arizona collector Frank Valenzuela. This mine is most famous for it's world class Scorodite, I have not seen an Azurite from here before, but this one sure is great, 5.5 x 4 x 4 cm.

Gem yellow Barite crystals with white Calcite crystals on matrix. Vast majority of these are matrixless clusters of crystals. This one stood out by having the well separated, undamaged crystals and associated Calcite on matrix. Crystals to 2.5cm, 12 x 8 x 5 cm.

Benitoite crystals with small Neptunite crystals. Main crystal is a 1.5cm triply terminated Benitoite, 4.7 x 3.6 x 1.3 cm.

Huge 1.5 cm white/clear Grossular garnet on a smaller crystal - the white garnets were rare and this is a big one! Slightly yellow at the transparent corners.

Fine, translucent blue 5mm Azurite crystals in vug. There are approx. 25 well separated Azurites with minor amounts of Malachite in the vug, excellent quality, 9.5 x 5.5 x 4.5 cm.
