J625 - Diaspore $ 280 Aydun, Mugula, Turkey small cabinet - 7.4 x 6.6 x 2.4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large single Diaspore crystal with typical ragged/contacted ends. Good gem sections in areas. This crystal displays multiple signs of fracturing and rehealing (noted by lighter colored lateral lines) resulting in a naturally 'bent' crystal, the same phenomenon that is sometimes seen in tourmaline crystals.
J626 - Diaspore $ 250 Aydun, Mugula, Turkey small cabinet - 7.1 x 6.8 x 4.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large partial V-twin crystal of Diaspore. It is unterminated or etched terminated, as most of these are, and is translucent with transparent zones. This is rare material from old stocks in Turkey. No more is being found as the deposit has been exhausted. Large Diaspore crystals such as this are uncommon.
J528 - Brucite (R) $ 600 Killa Saifullah, Balochistan, Pakistan cabinet - 13.8 x 7.8 x 4.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, solid radial mass of yellow Brucite on matrix with a crystal group 10cm wide. There is a thin layer of Brucite over the matrix upon which the larger crystal group grew and unfortunately it broke off this thin layer during shipment from Pakistan and has been professionally reattached. Regardless, it is an exceptionally showy example from the find that has produced best of species. This is an uncommon example well crystallized all around, characteristic of open pocket growth and not growth in tight, contacted seams as are most. Translucent, thick and sturdy.
