T187 - Tourmaline $ 400 (=~ AUS$ 518) Omaruru District, Erongo Region, Namibia miniature - 3.3 x 1.1 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Unusual 'black' Tourmaline crystal. This came in a lot from a collection and was labeled as 'Black Tourmaline". It is clearly an Elbaite and not Schorl and has a dark grey color with hints of purple blue and green. Gemmy and transparent from top to bottom. I've never seen a similar crystal. Undamaged. Weighs 8.5 grams.
T188 - Tourmaline $ 3000 (=~ AUS$ 3886) SOLD Paprok, Nuristan, Afghanistan miniature - 4.4 x 2.8 x 2.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Stout Tourmaline crystal with incredible and rare color combination. Purple at the termination grading to blue, then green, then pink. Stunning! Narrow back side is somewhat contacted (see photo), otherwise undamaged except for a couple trivial shallow nicks. Weighs 59.4 grams.
T189 - Tourmaline $ 4500 (=~ AUS$ 5829) SOLD Otjua Mine, Otjua Farm 37, Karibib District, Erongo Region, Namibia small cabinet - 6.5 x 3.7 x 2.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Old blue cap Tourmaline from the Charlie Key collection. Grades from a deep pure blue at the termination to a lighter blue, then an orangey red, and finally to a more raspberry red. A complete floater that is naturally etched at the bottom. Translucent to gemmy throughout. I've only seen a couple similar crystals, both also out of the Charlie Key collection. My gram scale only go to 100 grams, so I had to use my postal scale which measured it at a little over 107 grams.
T190 - Tourmaline $ 350 (=~ AUS$ 453) SOLD Pederneira Mine, São José da Safira, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 4.3 x 3 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Complete and terminated 'watermelon' Tourmaline with a blue/green over pink coloration on Clevelandite feldspar. The small crystal flat in the Clevelandite is unterminated, otherwise specimen is undamaged.
