HUGE single Tanzanite crystal. Tanzanite doesn't often reach this size, and when it does, it is usually just as unterminated chunks of crystal. With this specimen there is both the large size and the great crystal form. It's complete all aroung with a perfect, gemmy termination and undamaged except for a small part of a backside edge. This crystal has been heated, which is acceptable for this species so long as it is disclosed and priced accordingly. Adding further interest are numerous green Diopside crystals on the backside. One photo is backlit at the bottom to show the internal translucency. A big, impressive crystal!

Single, etched crystal, 1.5cm, rising up off matrix. Before this find (April 2010), matrix Jeremejevites were uncommon and expensive. Not only did this find produce a number of matrix pieces, but the crystals were much thicker than previous finds. Many were found encased in this matrix, and indeed, this specimen has a hollow cast running all the way through the matrix where a Jeremejevite crystal was formerly present. private_notes

Faden Quartz crystal on matrix, a lone faden specimen from a shipment I recently received from Pakistan. While Paki faden Quartz is common enough, this is the only matrix specimen I've seen.

A500 - Anatase $ 2900 (=~ CAN$ 3980) SOLD
Kharan Mountain, Balochistan, Pakistan
large cabinet - 21 x 17 x 3 cm

Large floater plate loaded with Anatase crystals and associated with albite and Quartz crystals. Good crystals are present on all sides with Anatase to 1.1cm in size. The largest fine Anatase specimen I have seen. I had this specimen professionally cleaned and could have had it trimmed into many smaller specimens, but opted to keep it intact as it is a nice floater and impressive in person despite some areas with less crystals.
