Pink, gemmy 1.1cm Sapphire crystal with another smaller crystal adjacent. Specimen quality crystals from this locality are rare due to the very hard matrix and most end up as cutting rough. Good luster too. Size 2.5 x 3 x 2 cm.


AF186 - Zircon $400
Mashewa, Tanga Region, Tanzania

 

   

Large, dark red, gemmy Zircon. One of the larger, good quality crystals I have seen from this locality. Fine termination, dimpled surface texture on prism faces. Size 3.7 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm.

Fine quality, dark red, gemmy Zircon. Fine termination, complete and undamaged with good luster. Size 2 x 1.1 x 0.8 cm.

Highly gemmy double terminated red Zircon. Natural surface dimpling on some surfaces and a couple small areas of damage. Size 2.7 x 0.7 x 0.7 cm.

Large, dark red, double terminated Zircon. Moderate internal fracturing but excellent red and gemmy at the best termiantion. Size 3.1 x 1 x 1 cm.

Floater cluster of dark green Pyromorpite. Aesthetic, dense cluster, undamaged, size 4.5 x 2.5 x 2 cm.


NA184 - Benitoite, Neptunite, Joaquinite $400

Smooth, sharp Benitoite crystals to 1.2 cm, including a 1cm triple terminated crystal, associated with a small Neptunite and numerous Joaquinites, 7 x 6 x 2.4 cm.


NA185 - Benitoite $900

Unusual floater group of Benitoite crystals. Specimen is unusual in that most all are matrix specimens, this one also has smooth crystal faces with bright luster, which is also unusual for Benitoite. Largest crystal is 2.1 cm. Deep blue color too, with backside a blue/grey color due to crossite inclusions. Two areas of damage, otherwise complete all around, 4.1 x 2.2 x 1.4 cm.

Gem 1.3 cm Emerald crystal set in white Calcite crystals. Terminated crystal with top blue green color for emeralds, transparent top to bottom. Size 4 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm.

Gem Emerald rising out of an Emerald matrix. The terminated crystal is transparent and 8mm thick. The Emerald matrix is also crystallized and partially terminated on the long end. Unusual and better in person. Size 2.2 x 1.6 x 1.6 cm.

Gem Emerald atop a pyrite crystal. Striking, unusual thumbnail sized specimen with a completely gem 1.3 cm Emerald with good color atop the Pyrite crystal. The crystal is like cut glass with no inclusions. Size 2 x 1.5 x 1 cm.
