Nearly flawless gem Aqua, just a few thin veils towards the bottom. Beveled termination, undamaged. Size 4.2 x 1.4 x 1.3 cm.


A485 - Indicolite $300
Kunar Prov., Afghanistan

 

   

Terminated Indicolite with good blue color, undamaged. Size 4 x 1.2 x 1.2 cm.


A486 - Aquamarine on Schorl $450

2.5 x 2 cm Aqua attached to a terminated Schorl, with attached Lepidolite and Clevelandite. Size 4 x 3 x 3 cm.


A488 - Schorl on/in Aquamarine $2,000
Shigar Valley, Pakistan

 

   

Large gem Aqua partially coated on one side of the lower half with Schorl. Interestingly, about midway up the crystal, there is a horizontal layer of schorl inside the crystal. There is also a 1.8cm schorl partially embedded in the crystal at this point. Undamaged fine quality crystal, better in person than photos. Size 8.8 x 2.8 x 2.3 cm.

Nearly flawless gem Topaz on matrix. The pink Topaz from this locality are the most famous, but this locality also produced top quality orange crystals too, such as this one. Crystal 2cm, specimen size 4 x 3 x 2 cm.


A490 - Demantoid $1,000

Huge single green Demantoid crystal. This locality produces some of the biggest Demantoids and this is a very big one for the locality. Complete all around with contact on bottom. There is a natural slot-like indentation on one face. Size 3.5 x 2.8 x 2.6 cm.

Large gem crystal with a pyramidal termination. Like green glass, internally nearly flawless. Very bottom is watermelon, 8.6 x 1.1 x 1 cm.


SA103 - Elbaite $750
Virgem da Lapa, Minas Gerais, Brazil

 

   

Long gem crystal, dark transparent green with a multi-faceted pink termination. This locality is most famous for it's large blue Topaz crystals but did produce some fine Tourmalines such as this one. Facet grade along the entire length with just a few internal veils, 8.3 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm.

Gemmy and lustrous green 2.5cm Tourmaline on matrix. Mined by Ed Swoboda in the early 1960s, 5 x 4 x 3 cm.


SA105 - Topaz $200 Sold
Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil

 

   

Single golden "imperial" Topaz crystal. Stout crystal with a more classic wedge-shaped crystal form than is typically seen from this locality, 3 x 2.3 x 2.2 cm.
