I will not always be able to post the bids immediately, but will have them up within 24 hours at most. Please consider each specimen and your bid carefully as your bid is a commitment to purchase the mineral(s). The auction will starts now and will close at 9:00 p.m. pacific standard time on Monday August 9th. If multiple bids on a particular specimen come in near the close time, the auction will close 10 minutes following the last received bid after the close time. Bids are in United States dollars. Minimum bid increments are $5 for bids under $100 and $10 for bids over $100. Have fun!

Fine, gem quality Aqua, very transparent.  Unusual in that most Erongo Aquas are darker blue and less transparent than this crystal.  Overall very good quality with a perfect termination, size 2.5 x 0.9 cm.

Tormiq Valley, Skardu Dist., Pakistan


 

 
 


Hair-like green Byssolite (variety of Actinolite) included in a transparent Quartz crystal.  Free growing Byssolite is present on the underside. This is a very nice, undamaged crystal with shimmering transparency, 5 x 3 x 3 cm.

Cluster of clear needle Quartz; intermixed among the forest of Quartz crystals are sharply formed Realgar crystals.  Some areas of the Quartz crystals have a yellow hue due to coatings of Orpiment, 8 x 7 x 4.5 cm.

X554 - Aquamarine with Schorl

Skardu District, Pakistan

 
 
 

Gem quality 1.8cm Aqua crystal, black Tourmaline crystals atop a Muscovite covered matrix with clear Quartz crystals.  The Aqua is fully transparent and the mixture of the various crystals provide a nice example of the pegmatite minerals of  this region, 6 x 5 x 5 cm.

A novelty of Pakistan are these bi-color Beryl crystals occasionally found.  The majority of the crystal is pink (Morganite) with blue (Aquamarine) at the termination.  Size 5 x 4.5 x 4 cm.

Green transparent Fluorite in scepter formation.  These interesting "mushroom" Fluorites first appeared a couple years ago, at the time I was offered a wholesale lot at $100 per specimen though I have seen these for sale recently for as little as $75, size 2.4 x 2 x 1.6 cm.

This fine Tourmaline crystal came to me with a parcel of Jeremejevite crystals, the only one in the lot.  The exact locality is unknown, but the miner was sure it was Erongo.  Terminated a facet grade the entire length, 1.8 x 0.4 cm.

Single, terminated Tanzanite crystal of yellow color.  The yellow color is completely natural, just more unusual than the blues that are typically seen.  Nice and gemmy with good luster, 1.7 x 1 x 0.5 cm.

Exceptionally rich, large plate of Wardite crystals. While many Wardites can be an opaque white color, these crystals are sharp and translucent grey green color, most with areas of transparency. Individuals on front side reach 9mm on edge, with some larger crystals on back. The small needle-like crystals among the Wardites are Childrenite crystals. This is an old piece from the 1970s and this area is currently closed to collecting, 14 x 9.5 x 4 cm.

Large specimen covered on all sides by small clusters of Mimetite with green Malachite. The specimen is amazingly free of damage given it's size, age, and the hundreds of clusters of Mimetite. The clustering habit is not restricted to the Mimetite; the Malachite, which at first look like individual spheres, are actually rounded clusters composed of many smaller spheres. Size 13.5 x 7 x 7 cm.

Large double terminated Quartz crystal with multi-colored Tourmaline cluster embedded in one side. The Tourmaline cluster is 4.5cm long, terminated, and pink with green caps.
