A146 - Scapolite $450

Badakshan, Afghanistan

     

Huge terminated purple Scapolite crystal. Rich, deep purple color - very strong color when viewed down the C-axis and a lighter, silky purple when viewed from the side. A cuople dings on left side, 4.2 x 4.1 x 2.9 cm.


A148 - Scapolite $250

Badakshan, Afghanistan

     

Single terminated purple Scapolite crystal. Rich, deep purple color - very strong color when viewed down the C-axis and a lighter, silky purple when viewed from the side, 2.1 x 1.6 x 1.5 cm.


A335 - Topaz $420

Shigar Valley, Pakistan

 

 

Gem Topaz crystal with a flat termination with beveled edges, size 4.5 x 2.3 x 2.3 cm.


A342 - Lazurite $300

Sar-e-Sang, Badakhshan, Afghanistan

 

 

Sharp and complete 2.7cm Lazurite crystal in marble. The crystal sits along a ridge in the marble so both sides are well exposed for viewing. Stands up on it's own on a flat base, size 7 x 4.7 x 2.5 cm.


A438 - Cavansite with Stilbite $320

Wagholi Quarry, Poona, India

 

   

Rich blue Cavansite clusters to 2cm wide associated with large, pearly white Stilbite crystals, 4 x 4 x 2.8 cm.


A523 - Hematite with Apatite $300

Alchuri, Shigar Valley, Pakistan

   

Big Hematite crystals with glassy pink Apatite. This is just into the country and is likely from a new find as I have not seen these before (and this is the only one I saw available). The main Hematite is 3.5cm wide and the largest Apatite cluster is 3cm long. Probably better in person as the silvery Hematite shows as black in the photos. The Apatites are glassy and transparent. There is damage along the right edge of the main Hematite and along the top of one of the smaller Hematites. There are also some small green Clorite included crystals, likely Adularia, size 5 x 4 x 4 cm.


A134 - Lazurite $500

Bandakstan, Afghanistan

   

Huge single crystal well exposed in marble, crystal is well formed and 4.5 cm wide, 10.5 x 7 x 9 cm.


A977 - Kunzite $500

Afghanistan

     

Gem yellow Kunzite crystal, fully terminated. This is actually a matrix piece and displays fabulousy with the small area of Quartz as the base. The crystal is double terminated and there is also a small 3mm crystal included within, possibly a tantalite, size 9.2 x 7 x 3.7 cm.


A413 - Topaz $250

Youno Mine, Shigar Valley, Pakistan

     

Highly gemmy crystal with great luster and only a few internal veils. The color on this one is very good. There has been lots of Topaz coming out of Shigar over the years, but not alot of this quality, 2.2 x 2.2 x 2 cm.


A331 - Spessartine $280

Malagorri, Kyber Agency, Pakistan

   

Beautiful multi-faceted Garnet, 1.9cm wide, on matrix with Quartz, Feldspar, and black Tourmaline. The Spessartine is dark red with a satiny luster, perfect condition, 5.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm.


A997 - Babingtonite with Okenite $250

Malad, Bombay, India

     

Large, sharply terminated 2cm Babingtonite with Okenite on drusy Quartz stalactites. The Indian Zeolites issue of the Mineralogical Record indicates that Indian Babingtonites occur from 3 to 15 mm in size. The crystal on this specimen is 20mm tall, indicating this one is among the largest, if not the vary largest of the find, size 12 x 8 x 6 cm.


A415 - Clinohumite $375

Ladjuar Madan, Kokcha Valley, Afghanistan

     

Deep translucent red 2 cm crystal in matrix, these are no longer common, size 3 x 3 x 2.5 cm.


A416 - Peridot $350
Sapat Valley, Mansehra, NWFP, Pakistan

 

 

 

Sharp single crystal with top lime green color and internally transparent and translucent. Lots of these crystals coming out, not many with this good color AND sharpness of crystal form. This one is complete all around too, with all prism faces present, 2.7 x 2 x 1.8 cm.


A271 - Diopside $300
Alchuri, Shigar Valley, Pakistan

     

Unusually thick compound crystal cluster. Good luster and complete all around. Much different than the typical thin single crystals, size 4.6 x 1.8 x 1.5 cm.


A509 - Topaz on Quartz $350

Shigar Valley, Pakistan

 

   

Flawless gem quality 2.7cm Topaz crystal on matrix of quartz crystals and albite, size 7 x 5 x 5 cm.


A514 - Spessartine on Mica $220

Apaligun, Braldu Valley, Baltistan, Pakistan

   

Two Spessartine crystals of high quality attached to a book of Muscovite mica on a partial quartz crystal. The crystals reach 1cm in size, are textbook in form, and have good internal transparency, 3.2 x 2.5 x 1.8 cm.


A604 - Lazurite $350

Deep blue crystals on quartz rich matix with Pyrite. Sharp, well defined crystals that are a darker blue than photos indicate, 11 x 10 x 7 cm.


A582 - Kunzite $350

Perfectly terminated gem Kunzite crystal with a cluster of attached Lepidolite, 4.7 x 2.7 x 1.4 cm.


A231 - Kunzite $300

Double terminated single Kunzite with purple/pink color. This is from a small lot of etched crystals I found with one dealer. The etching gave the crystals a smooth, wet luster, 8.8 x 2.7 x 1.3 cm.

4.5cm yellow Kunzite with etched termination attached to a double terminated Quartz crystal, 6 x 4.5 x 4 cm.


A245 - Kunzite $250

Nuristan, Afghanistan

     

Sharply crystallized yellow Kunzite, 5.1 x 3.2 x 2.3 cm.


A420 - Apatite $250

Afghanistan

   

Large single pink crystal. A floater that originally formed on muscovite and later detached and rehealed, good color and luster, 4 x 3 x 2.5 cm.


A812 - Spinel $275
Mogok, Myanmar

     

Unusual twinned spinel with multiple twins resulting in an overall tetrahedron shape, 1.7 x 1.7 x 1.5 cm.
