Dioptase crystals on Planchite from a new find in late 2007. The Plancheite is bubbly in appearance and forms a convex shell onto which are attached Dioptase crystals on both sides. This find featured big Dioptase, and the main crystal here reaches 1.8cm long, 3.4 x 2 x 2 cm.

Gemmy bright red Rhodochrosite cluster, great color (this came glued into yellow foam, there remains a bit of this at the base). Size 1.8 x 1.4 x 1.2 cm.

Gem green Tremolite crystal from the Tanzanite mines. Terminated gem crystal from a new find with the best chrome green color I've seen so far in these specimens. One side is indented but I think this is natural as some of these (and most of all previous finds) had etched edges, not unlike spodumene. Pictured in the Sept.-Oct. 2009 issue of the Mineralogical Record (figure 79, page 383). Great color on this one, size 2.8 x 1.3 x 0.5 cm.

Double terminated Phenakite crystal with good luster and transparency. There is an angular indentation into two of the six prism faces towards the middle of the crystal where it was attached/grew on another crystal. Fine specimen. Both ends are shown in close-up photos. Size 4.1 x 0.9 cm.

Gemmy green Diopside crystal with superb luster and transparency, the longest of the transparent crystals int he lot. The crystal is undamaged thought he backside of the termination is irregular where it was intergrown with some graphite crystals. Excellent gem crystal, 3.5 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm.

Large, dark red, gemmy Zircon. One of the larger, good quality crystals I have seen from this locality. Fine termination, dimpled surface texture on prism faces. Size 3.7 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm.
