AF975 - Dioptase $250
Kaokaveld, Namibia

   

Dioptase crystals on Planchite from a new find in late 2007. The Plancheite is bubbly in appearance and forms a convex shell onto which are attached Dioptase crystals on both sides. This find featured big Dioptase, and the main crystal here reaches 1.8cm long, 3.4 x 2 x 2 cm.


AF997 - Calcite on Diopside $400
800 foot level, Karo Mine (extension off Block D), Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania

   

Well terminated green Diopside crystal with a smaller crystal on the side and white Calcite crystals along the termination. Great luster, complete all around and undamaged, size 2.4 x 0.8 x 0.8 cm.

Terminated deep green Diopside crystal. Great luster, good transparency, complete all around and undamaged, size 1.8 x 0.8 x 0.6 cm.

Dioptase crystals on chrysocolla over Quartz. A very large cluster of Dioptase 2.2 cm tall. A tiny nick on the main crystal keeps this from being a very expensive specimen, 4.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm.

Kaokaveld, Namibia

   

Large single Dioptase crystal from a new find in late 2007. The Diop is not only large, it is highly transparent, 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm.

AF994 - Diopside on Graphite $350

Gemmy, deep green Diopside crystal on Graphite. The Diopside is partially etched but gemmy and undamaged and the only single crystal on matrix, size 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm.

Floater cluster of well formed Braunite II crystals associated with Andradite and white Hydrotalcite crystals, 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm.

Floater cluster of well formed Braunite II crystals associated with Andradite and white Hydrotalcite crystals. The Braunite crystals are large on this one and fully exposed crystals reach 1.3cm (there is a crystal on the side that is half exposed and half coated by Andradite and Hydrotalcite that is 2cm long), 3.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm.


AF451 - Vanadinite on Barite $390

Fine Vanadanite crystals to 13 x 7 mm on Barite coated by manganese oxides, 3.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm.


AF853 - Diopside $225
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania

   

Bright mint green Diopside crystal, well terminated and complete all around. Very good color, size 1.6 x 1.1 x 0.8 cm.


AF514 - Cobaltian Calcite with Erythrite $290
Bou Azzer, Morocco

   

Two large, isolated Cobaltian Calcite crystals on matrix with small Erythrite crystals. At first glance this looks like Congo material as the isolated crystals are not typical for Morocco, 6 x 5 x 4.5 cm.


AF606 - Azurite $250
Toussit Mine, Morocco

   

Prismatic Azurite crystals to 1.5 cm from the Toussit mine which closed down a number of years ago. Crystals are a gemmy blue when backlit, 7 x 5.5 x 5 cm.


AF690 - Dioptase on Plancheite, Chrysocolla $275

Large vug lined first with Chrysocolla then Plancheite covered with bright Dioptase crystals to over 1cm, 5 x 5 x 4 cm.

Large single crystal with a few smaller crystals attached. Main crystal is 2.7cm tip to tip, size 2.7 x 2.5 x 2.7 cm.


AF709 - Malachite Stalactites $380
Star of the Congo Mine, Shaba Prov., Congo

 

 


Finger-like group Malachite stalactites with a sparkly crystallized surface covering all and a very minimal amount of surface bruising which can get bad on many of these. Longest "finger is 8cm, 8.8 x 7 x 5.5 cm.


AF359 - Jeremejevite $300
Mile 72, Cape Cross, South Africa

   

Rare crystal cluster from the original southern african locality. Main crystal is relatively thick at approx. 5mm with smaller "jackstraw" crystals off the side of the main. Another interesting feature is the association of an unidentified green crystal approx. 2mm in size - I have not seen associated minerals on these jeremevite before, any ideas?, 12 x 10 x 5 mm.


AF652 - Azurite $250
Toussit, Morocco

     

Prismatic Azurite crystals to approx. 2cm in Dolomite lined vug. Super lustrous and transparent when backlit, size 6 x 5 x 4 cm.


AF537 - Acanthite $300
Imiter Mine, Atlas Mtns., Morocco

 

 


Sharp octahedral crystals to 12mm on edge. The crystals are very sharp in form but have slightly curved edges giving them a unique appearance, 3.2 x 2.5 x 2 cm.
